In terms of Jerry being Jerry and making a splash to draft him. I know many die hards that say that may be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Please tell me we have no real shot to get him. I can't get a good feel on where he will go. I've seen some mocks that have him down in the 2nd round. Never seen so many different opinions that have drastic differences on a single player.

Jerry knows Manziel is a polarizing player. Will sell tons of jerseys and will be the talk of the draft and the whole offseason. He claims he will not draft him but I don't believe him. I can not see him passing on Manziel if he's there.

I used to think there was a 50/50 chance he falls to us, but now I think it's unlikely. Trading up for him would be uncharacteristic of how the team appears to be conducting itself this year. I definitely am not interested in trading up anyway.

Those who think there is no chance are totally underestimating Jerry. I'd say less than 50% but I could easily see it happening. Now if there are future number ones involved, that would be a huge problem IMO.

I read on another board that Manziel might be in play if he gets past the Browns. I read that Romo's back it not what the public has been led to believe and that doctors have informed him that one more surgery could be the end of his playing career and they strongly suggest that he retire. I also read where there are clauses in his contract where the bonus money will be counting against the cap if he retires ( don't know how that can happen) and that the NFL would never have approved the contract if it wasn't in the contract. I also read that Romo has reported that he only wants to play until he is 35. I think that this is all BS and that Romo will play at a high level for next 3-4 years. I think there is a lot of smoke screens going on. I am not a big fan of Manziel and think that we need draft defensive players. Take it for what it is worth which to me is not much ( I am hoping).

I can't see him fall. He's got something very special. Any team not concerned with underwear Olympics sees that. To me, he fits the Raiders perfectly.
