I've heard of several people dropping their phones in the toilet and it never ceases to make me laugh. What in the heck are you doing that is so important that you need to be texting or talking to someone on the phone while you're in the bathroom anyway? It just doesn't seem like the place to be on the phone, to me anyway.

I'm kidding, but I don't know how rice can help things.

The rice absorbs all/most of the water. I've never dropped my phone in water so I've never done it but some of my buddies have done it and it worked perfectly.

Its also a giant brick. I like the phone but lets not go overboard.

I have no clue why folks hate AT&T so much. The 3g networks I have been on while traveling have been steller. = )
