Anyone else starting to get back into the swing of exercising with an eye towards the summer? I haven't touched my Perfect Push-ups in about 7 months until 10 minutes ago, and I had to start back up again at square one. I used to be able to do 150 push-ups with the exercises. Now I can only do 30. I went from doing 50 push-ups a set to 10, and am exhausted.

I've really started working out since I got up to 215. I don't know how much I weigh now but my pants fit again. I should probably be in about the 200 range. There's a tennis club my dad's neighborhood that he used to be a member of. I still know the code so I sneak into it. It has a good weight room.

I read a good workout tip yesterday. Most people hit the weights hard then stop and go home. It said you need to decrease the weight and do a few sets to get rid of the lactic acid that has built up. It will make you recover faster. I don't do that though. I just work out and then jump on the exercise bike. I've really noticed a difference in my recovery.

I used to have the perfect push ups but I put them out beside the dumpster when I moved out of the dorms. I just didn't like them.

Why not? Those are great and they get rid of the need to change free weights to do different exercises, when you can just do 3 forms of push-ups and get the same results.

I didn't get much results. I get more results from weights.

I might buy them again.

I did about 30 today after working out my upper body this morning.

Sets of ten.

you'll strain your muscles that way

I'd alternate weights and the pushups

M -- weights (hardcore workout)
T -- off
W -- pushups
TH -- off
F -- weights
SA -- off
SU -- off

I did bench press (machine) and leg curls today. Tomorrow I'm doing biceps (back arm muscles?)- same machine- and leg press tomorrow. Thursday same as Tuesday. Friday same as Wednesday. Weekend exercise bike.

Ok, that makes sense

I assumed you were benching and doing pushups.
