honestly I don't have problem with Dez demonstration on sideline. Someone should be doing this every week until this mess is fixed. This team has been passive for long time. Everyone should be upset with what has been going on for better part of 16 years.

I said this earlier, I hope he does it again, .. and again. I hope others do too. I hope it spreads through this team like a brushfire.

I would like to see our kids start playing like a bunch of animals released from a cage just before kickoff.

(ok, I know that ain't happening)

But you get my point, .. play like this means something to you.

He expressed his annoyance at what was transpiring. Not sure what else to call it. Either way, my problem isn't with Dez making those issues known.

Righty-oh, my friend.

My mistake.

A player goes off on his teammates when they are down and hurting and all Witten, Romo, Jason and Jerra
can say is Dez is a competitor. he has passion. He wants to win. He was frustrated.

Romo should have yelled back at Dez but he didn't.
Witten should have backed up his stand against Dez with comments later that players should have poise. But he didn't.

Jason should have told the public that this kind of "me-Shawn" attitude would not stand and that Dez will apologize to the team and the fans. But he didn't.

Jerra should have told Dez that as gifted as he is, there is another mini-sheriff in town by the name of Terrance williams and a big Sheriff by the name of Witten and to watch his mouth and keep his saggy pants up. But he didn't.

Stand up, mens, half a backbone. I used to respect all of you but I don't no more.
consider this: What is Witten and Williams and even Murray started harping about how they demand the ball more? what a mess. Yes, Dez deserves the ball more. when that happens, tantrums by this are unacceptable.
Then, as the half-man he is. backtracked on his comments and laid it all on "passion" and "positive comments." There is nothing positive about yelling at your teammates.

I'm fine with Dez. The good guy theme has got us nowhere.

For all the crap we heard about Owens the team was better when he was here. I would rather win then RKG the place up and be mediocre.

Anyways I think Dez isn't being selfish. He's just pissed like all of us fans are. He isn't interested in mediocrity and roboticrity.

We won ONE year when TO was here. What about the other years?

Eventually the scavengers show up. Too late, you not being among the Alpha males, you will half to wait for your share if anything. So keep nipping in lieu of having anything substantive to say.

How are you going to complain about somebody having something substantive to say, when you give a bald face lie as fact? Stop being an Ostrich, get your head out of the sand, be a rational human being and evaluate all the facts surrounding this. You have players commenting, you have the AUDIO available, everything jives. The national media got this wrong badly. Hell, Billick was going in on Dez before the game even started.

And the deceit by fans.
How many times do we defend "passionate" behavior before yelling "Grow up!"
If what Dez did was "business as usual" or "just part of the game," then why doesn't Witten, Romo, Murray, lee etc. act the fools? Because they process things internally and know that blowing up does nothing except give ammo to the media.

If Dez's trantrum is so good then by all means, ever body start complaining about lack of playing time, lack of getting the ball or lack of something or other?

The NFL audience saw something bordering on ugly and then we are told it didn't happen. Or it didn't happen that way.
Cant fool the public forever and this was uncalled for. And his enabler do not help Dez, only make him more of a prima dona. Oh, he backtracked from his mini-feud with Megatron. good thing. Megatron showed Dez up, albeit with help from Callahan.
Because losing has become a way of life for those core players. what have Romo, Witten and the others ever won?

Odd that a non-issue would attract so many comments.
Very odd.
At least Witten initially stood up to the "non-issue" before disavowing it as a "non-issue."

Yes, they half won little. But as critical as I am of Romo, he has won my respect if not my belief in him as a playoff contender.

Here's the way I see it. Dez did get out of hand on the sideline and Witten became angry with him. You don't have to listen to any audio to see that. Dez was mad at Romo and Witten stepped up. The team is acting as if Dez did nothing wrong but its obvious he crossed the line out there. I'm sure he has been spoken to and he has agreed that it won't happen again. The thing is, it will happen again. I would bet on it. I like Dez's fire but you can't go on a tirade and start a fight on national television. He also said yeah to the camera while throwing up the X. I don't know why he chose this game to get so emotional but I assume it was him wanting to match Megatron's stats, or a least try. I like Dez and think he's an awesome player. I like his fire and competitive nature but I don't want him to turn into a Keyshawn or T.O. Sure, Michael Irvin was emotional on the sideline but he never called anyone in particular out. He tried to get the TEAM fired up, not complain about the playcalling. That's my opinion on the whole matter.....

What is wrong with you? Rational. Non-condisending. Polite. Seeing what was evidently there to see.

Steve Mariucci was on and he said that he had to deal with that kind of behavior for years with T.O.

The difference was that TO always complained about himself and not necessarily the team. And, it was almost an every game occurrence. But, that was not what Dez was doing, he was actually trying to fire the team up and not some of the "I love me some me"! kinda of stuff.

Another thing that needs to be considered is that Dez was mic'ed up for the game. Chances are that if he were not, this would not be all over the internet and the media. Brandon Carr had a blow up also and we heard nothing.

But, it's about freaking time someone on this team showed they care! AND....after his little tantrum, he went out and took two TD's for the team.

If you don't like that kind of passion then what to you want? All he was doing was saying "we are better than that" kinda stuff.

GimmieNoBallForYou, you dropped the ball on this one. But, I am proud of you that you spelled Romo's name right.
