The stupid supersuits and black "leather" generic outfits were wrong for this. Oh well. The screwed up Transformers, might as well screw this up. My childhood is officially raped...just makes you want to hate Hollywood.

Ridiculous, over-the-top, superhero-minus-the-powers-and-in-military-outfits-and-body-armor. Personally, I think it looks fantastic (for a mindless awesome action flick) and the casting of Christopher Eccleston as Destro seals the deal.

tomson75;2614432 said:You could, but that wouldn't mean that you're in the majority. Just because a bunch of diehard fanatics that still retain every ounce of knowledge of the original cartoon weren't impressed, doesn't mean the general moviegoer wasn't pleased. Most people enjoyed it.
I agree with you about Turrtoro's character, but I think they did a serviceable job developing some of the characters. I think it's obvious that it was intended for multiple films, giving far more time to complete a story. There are far too many characters and variables to completely develop a proper storyline in one film.
Either way, to say they "screwed it up" is premature. Transformers should be judged as a whole, not by it's pieces IMO.

As for Transformers, I'm someone who has seen it enough and can go without ever seeing it again. I like some of it, hate others. As a Bay fan I was pretty disappointed actually. Turturro, however, was one of the best parts about the movie. I love his character. Easily the best human. Outside of the 2 leads and his parents, and Turturro, all the other humans were a complete waste, IMO.

like how they did in "IronMan"
oh my goodness
