In the last 27 matchups (either vs Cowboys or Eagles), including the one playoff matchup last season, the Giants have won a grand total of 3 games (the only one against the Cowboys when Andy Dalton was QB). I hear lots of talk about how division matchups are always difficult, but this seems pretty one sided, no?

Mods-please correct title to 3-24
And the Eagles play them 2 of their last 4 games!!

I simply cannot believe they have won two Superbowls so far this century given how terrible they have been most years.

I don't know if we will see greater luck in pro sports for some time.
Luck is right....i never said that about any team that won a sb but both was luck
I guess both of you are recalling the actual championship games - but on the way there___
2007 - wildcard win on the road, divisional round win on the road v. No. 1 seed (Cowboys), conference championship victory on the road v. No. 2 seed.
2011- wildcard home win, divisional round win on the road v. No. 1 seed, conference championship victory on the road v. No. 2 seed.

I’m more referencing the combination of those facts with the context of both of those teams being 9-7 just barely making the playoffs and then going on to make those runs. There really isn’t an analog in the modern era for those playoff runs. They were once in a lifetime events that happened twice in the span of 5 seasons. I don’t think we’ll see it again.

That can't be, Philly plays a winning team every week! I hear it here all the time, we beat bad teams, the rest of the NFL only plays winning teams!

The Giants have been the most bizarre team of the Millennium.

G*d awful the majority of the time....with 2 random Superbowl seasons inexplicably inserted in between years of horrid play.

Nobody says we only play bad teams.

2007 New York went 10-6... were the 5th seed, ahead of 9-7 Washington which qualified for the 6th = 2nd wildcard spot .
Cowboys were NFC East Champions and No. 1 seed.

2011 Giants went 9-7, but won NFC East - beating out 8-8 Eagles and 8-8 Cowboys.

2 of their last 3! Giants, Cards, Giants to finish the season. Talk about schedule makers giving them some momentum into the playoffs.

It used to be that way with division rivals, particularly those in the NFCE. It hasn't really been like that for a while, but the adage is based in truth.
