Giants (30) - Eagles (24) ***Game Thread***

asuming this game holds.....

the good news is, we have a great opportunity to begin to bury 2 teams that everyone thought were locks for the playoffs.

tonight's game is even larger, now.

bad news...the birds are gonna be 4-0 when we get there.

surprised so many of you are that impressed with Philly's D. I'm seeing more just flat out pathetic blocking by the Giants than great D play. It looks like the OL isn't even trying, and Burress is right to get on their butts, they're letting the team down.

Can you imagine that week and the hype going into that game if we're 2-1??

TD to Reggie Brown. 24-7. The Giants D is awful. The CB looked lost out there. This game is just about DONE

Yeah well at least you have a choice. It's either Texans or nothing for me.

Gamecenters are my lifeline..

Definition: A burner, also called a stinger, is a common injury in contact sports, especially football. The exact mechanism of the injury is not well understood, but a burner is thought to be due to either stretch or compression, or a combination of both, of the brachial plexus. The brachial plexus is a network of nerves that has just exited the spinal cord. These nerves travel across the shoulder and into the arm. Symptoms of a burner are sudden pain and tingling extending from the neck and down the arm into the fingers.
Most often burners are transient injuries, but they can be serious if they are persistent or recurrent. If a player has recurrent burners, he or she should be removed from competition until evaluated by a physician.

hmmm yeah the iggles are making my preseason predictions look foolish.
I still don't believe they are real contenders and I still think their running game and WRs aren't good enough but confidence is an infectious thing.

I really thought the NYG would handle philly. Eli must be playing like the "deer-in-headlights" Eli that I know and love instead of the Eli that usually shows up late in the 4th quarter against us.

WG, I'm an idiot.

What's a burner?
I've always associated it with a neck injury. But then stinger is usually applied to those.

So not really sure. :eek::
