The Cowboys aren't the only team that makes boneheaded decisions. In the Giants/Commanders game, both teams made dumb choices that cost their team the game. It ended up in a tie. In OT, the Giants had the ball on about their opponents 20, and they ran the ball. Their running back didn't secure the ball with both hands and it got knocked up. They were in easy field goal range, but their running back didn't protect the ball.
So Washington took over. They marched down the field and were in field goal range, but royally screwed up their clock management. Time was running out, and they were out of timeouts, but they didn't rush to spike it. I think they may have though they had another timeout because they had only used two of them. However, two are all you get in OT.
Both teams were boneheaded, especially Washington.
