How the hell did the Giants blow this game in regulation? Just about every single thing that needed to go wrong did. First off, why in the world are you aiming your punt out of bounds? The short kick was not so much the issue as it went out of bounds. You want a punt that hits the ground and rolls around.

And terrible defense at the end for not guarding the sidelines better.

Giants are done for the year.

Also, this Eagles defense is not as vaunted as some claim.

The Eagles are a bad football team that has never won anything. How many times have we seen the Giants start off slow and be there at the end of the season. They won a Super Bowl after starting 0-2

Mini story: It was 4 years ago and I took my son who is a Giants fan to Philly to watch Giants-Eagles game. The abuse we took was unbearable and we left after first quarter. How is it best case? The Giants are probably going to lose more games than PHI, so PHI losing is better for DAL in the long run.

Philly is awful and has so many injuries. At the start of the year, everyone was talking about the Giants winning the Super Bowl.

No they couldn't. Since the player was down in bounds and they had no time outs, a rule change this year requires a 10 second run off in that overturn situation. There were only 8 seconds left.

He was talking about if the rule wasn't there (I think). Dowm there at the end zone, it is possible.
