Giants defense all Spagnuolo?

How good is spagnuolo i mean the new york giants defense doesnt have that great of players the secondary is poor the linebacking crew is average but the dline is good. I think spagnuolo has done a incredible job. With just average talent on that defense i dont know how they were so good in the playoffs. My question is if Spagnuolo leaves do you think the giants will be the same defense during the last quarter stretch or will it be a average defense next season. I think if he leaves it would be horrible for that defense. They should realize they dont have great talent and pay him what ever he wants but hopefully they dont.

A good part of it is. But the Giants have also drafted PASS RUSHERS to staff their Dline, which is something fairly unique. They also have Matthias Kiwanuka (sp??) coming back from that broken leg so they should be even more talented.

I think another issue they will have is how is Eli manning going to play when Shockley returns. Not too many people are talking about it, but Eli really started winning consistently when Shockley went down. Somebody brought up the fact that Shockley had been running the show and after he went down, it gave Eli the chance to become the team leader. It will be interesting to see if things revert back to the way they were, or if Eli takes a lot of confidence from winning a SB and tells Shockley to take a seat...
