Giants dominated first game?

Eli was 12-26 for 173 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 inteception. If Roy Williams hadn't been tackled by the official, he would have been one reception and 50 yards less than that. I know, you can say, "what-if" from now on, but the media perception that the Cowboys were dominated is false.

The Giants didn't make great plays, the Cowboys made bad plays at bad times. BP was disgusted by how poorly the Cowboys played. They won't play that badly again.

I say 31-17 Cowboys this time around. The Cowboys are simply the better team.

I think Dallas made mistakes that hurt us but I also think the Giants made the plays to win the game. As you point out Tiki did have over 100 yards which is key for the Giants, Eli while he did not put up spectacular numbers he did have 2 TD passes in the game and the Giants defense did create turnovers in the game. I do think the Giants were in control in that game. I expect a different game and outcome this time but I will give the Giants their dues in that game.

You are exactly right. We were dominated in the trenches. Eli was aweful though.

The "dominating" aspect of the game was with the line play. Their OL dominated our DL....especially at the end of the game. We simply couldn't stop them. They lined up against us and jammed the ball down our throats. It got so bad that their offensive linemen were mocking our crowd and our defense.

This was a game that the Giants had control of from start to finish. Yes, we moved the ball fairly easily, but we never seemed to be playing under control.

you are absoluetly right, I still believe that if RW wasn't tripped by the ref we would have won the game, the Giants were never that good. The Giants barely beat the Texans who we dominated, they lost to the Titans who we again dominated and when we lost to the Jaguars because of stupid bledsoe, it was still a close game not a domination by they Jaguars.

People, chill out and stay cool and calm...we are winning this Sunday and showing that we are the team to reprsent NFC in the Super Bowl and to win it....

Dallas was as dominated as it has ever been this season.

Overall stats are all but meaningless because they don't capture situational attributes like confidence and momentum.

These teams, the environment, and the situation are all so different that that past game will have very little bearing on how this one turns out.

IMO it's a must win for New York and they are at home, so they start with an advantage. Dallas will win if it can keep its cool, IMO, and play its game.

With three minutes left, we were 11 yards away from making it a seven-point game -- and that was despite giving up a safety, despite the 50-yard referee-aided touchdown, despite Bledsoe's interception at the goal line right before halftime and despite giving the Giants the ball on our 14 at the start of the third quarter.

We threw two interceptions in the red zone -- one of which was returned for a touchdown -- and threw another that gave the Giants the ball in our red zone. The game was much closer than the scoreboard indicated.

You can say the same for the Bucs ... they can claim the Cowboys didn't dominate them over Thanksgiving. Same argument ... they can argue they beat themselves. Turnovers, mistakes, etc, etc.

It's all the same. Giants beat us badly ... that's the bottom line.

The second half was a debacle. Romo threw 3 picks in his first extended playing time. The defense had their backs to the wall all half. The D couldn't get any rest. That's why they were able to run the ball so well.

Since then Romo has thrown 2 picks. He's not going to do that again. If the O can sustain some drives... which we did with Bledsoe at the end of the first half... and which Romo has done an exceptional job of, the defense can get some rest and stop the run. Then if we can stop the big pass play, which opened up the game for them, I think we'll be fine.

I felt Romo may have been too hyped up in that game and was trying to make every play. To me it seemed like once he was named starter and was getting the full reps at practice Romo has settled down. No doubt he showed some positives in that Giants outing but it just looked like he was pressing to much in that game.

The last time the Giants saw this Cowboys team they went sack happy in the first half of a game in which this Cowboys team found itself in a QB transition. Since that transition the incumbent Cowboys play caller has only torched the entire NFL. The Giants will undoubtedly see a much different Cowboys team on Sunday. They'll soon find this to be a team of destiny. It is a team in which all phase have rallied around the moxie man. It's a team with a newly inspired defense thanks to the loads of rest they get when Romo is working his mastery on the field. In short, the Giants will soon meet their end. :starspin
