Giants down to 3 CB's for Sunday's Game

I was slummin' on their official boards and it looks like both Dockery and Ross will miss this week's game against the Commanders.

That leaves them with Webster who's pretty darn good, 2nd year man Terrell Thomas, and undrafted rookie free agent Bruce Johnson. In a dime package they'll bring out who exactly? They're already only carrying 3 safeties on their entire roster.

I'm telling ya, Washington has a very good chance at the upset this weekend. VERY good chance.

I really want to believe that, but, the Skins have lost 5 of 6 to the Giants. They never play well in the Meadowlands. Plus I just don't feel our offense is going to hold the ball that long...

Canty is full strength, so I think they'll be ok in the middle. I hope Washington goes max protect all game long and makes NY's CBs cover our WRs for much longer than they are used to.

Thats the way they'll need to do it if the front is in good shape. It will be tough to run on them but there is oppurtunity against that secondary for sure.

Yeah, I have no problem only sending out two WRs, with two TEs blocking and a back chipping. If the Giants blitz, Campbell is actually surprisingly good against the blitz. Or the Giants could sit back with 6 or 7 in coverage, but I think we'd win more than we lose if they do that, especially since Jason is a better runner than people give him credit for (although one reason he is so effective at that is because he recognizes man coverage and takes off when the defense has their backs turned - zone is a different story). It's going to be tough against their front four, but I think max protect gives us the best shot at winning.

Not sure Canty is full strength. Herr Kofflin made a remark this past week that he would only see some limited playing time. That might just be gamesmanship afoot though. Looks like Sintim is also hurting. Not sure how much time he would see, or even if he was going to be active on game day.

If I were the Commanders, my base formation would be 3 WR all day long. Rookie undrafted free agent CB??? Man that should be money in the bank, high percentage completions, easy first downs, or "pass interference-defense" all game long.

If I were a fan of the Giants, I'd really be questioning burning up half the roster with linebackers (9), offensive lineman (10), and wide receivers (7).
