Honestly its pathetic and I'm glad the Cowboys don't stoop to this level, the league will punish this nonsense.

I don't think they will..

It sucks, but with the league focusing on safety so much, im sure they won't be calling people out for possibly faking things.

It's part of the game within the game. If our defense is getting run on and tired I wouldn't be mad if Cohen or some JAG decided to be "hurt" for a bit.

If only the penalty was reducing their cap space for violating the "spirit" of the game :p

Especially when their focus is player safety. They would really put themselves in a mess if they got worked up about things like this.

Wit was screaming at the top of his lungs, you don't see him get so animated at stuff but he was.

I suppose it's part of the game now.

Cullen Jenkins is a piece of trash, he pulled that crap last year on Sunday Night too. Broaddus talked him up all week only for Fred and Leary to hold him quiet all night.

They can review those plays after the game and if it's clear there is a faked injury come down hard on the cheats. It ends when a team or coach suffers for it

Am I the only guy around who literally "hates" (sports hate) Tom Caughlin?? Can't stand the sight of him, if I was a fellow opposing head coach I'd s talk him the whole time at the post game midfield hand shake.....I'm classless I guess

It was embarrassing for the Giants to have that stuff going on. Especially at a point in the game where they were gassed defensively, anyway, and giving up yardage and with the game threatening to get out of hand. Just flat-out embarrassing.

Serious bush league stuff. I a, glad our guys were really going after them tonight.

Also the officials screwed us on the first Cruz Td.

In the stadium the ball was marked 3rd and 1 and short of the line, they moved the chains and never measured. The cowboys were trying to get a call in based on the down and distance.

The officials unbelievably spotted the ball and let manning snap it, then to top it off a blitzing scandrick was held blatantly.

Their should have been a measurement, will Allen never even got lined up because manning was allowed to snap the ball so fast.

Yea, i saw that.. but it really doesn't matter. Witten doesn't have to deal with all the lawsuits being filed by former players right now.

With the focus being on player safety right now, you think the commish is really going to call guys out or fine them for possibly faking being injured?

I would think it would be more head injuries, like guys would pretend to be dazed in the head or something. Not "my shoulder hurts".

To answer, no, I'm not surprised, but it needs to find a limit somewhere, but yes that is hard to determine. Hey the NFL will get sued in 5 years for shoulder injuries too, just like the head ones.

They did the same thing a year or two ago. They had like 2-3 players suddenly going to the ground "injured"... pathetic. They faked it better this time though...

That’s the word from NFL Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino, who sent all 32 teams a memo today, informing them that faking injuries can result in unsportsmanlike conduct penalties as well as severe discipline after the game for the players and coaches involved.

“We have instructed all officials to be on the alert for violations of this rule,” Blandino wrote in the memo, via ESPN.com. “Further, if it is determined by video review or other means available to the League office that defensive players are engaging in such practices, such players and their coaches may be subject to disciplinary action.”

@espn_macmahon: Jerry Jones on Giants faking injuries to slow down Cowboys' hurry-up offense: "It was so obvious it was funny."

Don't fake injuries...get into better shape, get off the field on 3rd down, or just plain old suck it up! I would be embarrassed as a player and as a Giant's fan....seriously, pathetic!

Of course the injuries were fake. I just wished that someone would have asked Coughlin about this in his presser. Considering how pissed he was this might have sent him over the edge.

The league needs to raise the minimum required plays to miss for leaving the field with injury to at least 3-5. You'd probably see less fakes then. Also players found faking injuries should relinquish their game check.
