"I was frustrated the other day and I am over it," Baas said. "I know I can bounce back from this.
"I think (the opener) is (realistic), and that is what I expect to. I am going to follow the doctor's orders. It is kind of one of those annoying things I have to let heal."
The Giants have options as far as who to start in place of Baas while he is out.
Jim Cordle replaced Baas on the opening drive Sunday, but left guard
Kevin Boothe has been switched to center in the past. In that case, the Giants can either use right tackle
David Diehl at left guard and go with first-round pick
Justin Pugh or
James Brewer at right tackle, or they can use Pugh and Brewer at left guard if they decide to keep Diehl at right tackle.
