Bad news/good news. Bad: WR Hakeem Nicks (foot) not practicing. Good: DT Marvin Austin (back) in pads tho not sure how much he'll do. #nyg

Coughlin says OT DJ Jones failed a physical. That means there's an open roster spot. #nyg

DT Marvin Austin believes he's got a real good shot to play vs TB in Week 2. #nyg

Hakeem Nicks started practice on the side and did not appear to do much during media portion of practice. Could be precautionary for foot

Giants on injury report: Prince (ankle), Austin (back), Beatty (back), Boley (hamstring), Bradshaw (hand), Brewer (back), Hosley (toe)...

Kiwanuka (groin), Nicks (foot), Tracy (hamstring) on pre-practice injury report

I'm really interested in seeing how well nicks can play on wed

I have a feeling he won't produce very much

Those 5th metatarsal fractures or Jones Fractures are nothing to laugh at. That bone gets poor blood supply, heals very slowly and often re-fractures. Very frustrating injury prone to complications.

Carr should make it tough for him to get off the LOS. Our success defensively will be determined by how we handle Cruz.

I'd prefer to beat them at 100% healthy but will take any W we can get.

Amen to that, gonna be watchin the game with a Giant fan so a win would be nice for once.

Was there any word on who would be on Cruz/Nicks? I know about Carr's early comments about Cruz's salsa dancing but that's not exactly concrete

 So tired of this type of statement. I'd prefer to beat them. Who cares who's playing and who's not. There isn't a team in the NFL that is 100% healthy so you won't like any of our wins.

Perry Fewell confirms Michael Coe will start at CB opposite Corey Webster

Why isn't Coughlin saying this again?

DM is gonna kill them catching those swing passes out the backfield from Romo, thats gonna be HUGE during this game. It counters their pass rush and DM can definitely beat their LB's in open space. He's will keep the chains moving. The Giants didn't face him much last year. Their LB's better be healthy.

If I recall the giants didn't really have an answer for Demarco before he went down.

Well, doesn't seem like Giants fans or team, cares that much about beating a healthy team. I used to care about those things, but no more. There are no longer any 90s Cowboys anymore. Not that you are saying that but seems like lot of us think if we don't beat a team with full strength that somehow the win is not legitimate or not that great ( and I do that often myself, so not excluding myself).

Giants didn't exactly beat a very healthy cowboys team last year either. But either way, this game, I am not big believer of cowboys winning this game. History is not Cowboys side, last 8 years or so, a SB winning team never lost their first game. I don't believe its going to happen now either, not that its impossible.

Fewell is the defensive coordinator, not the GM

yeah the giants linebackers are a joke. mathis kiwanuka and chase blackburn vs murray or even witten in coverage...lol. If our line can hold up  the giants are in for a long night. But I think they will force us to dink and donk down the field. And hope for someone to make a mistake and cause a turnover.

What?

:laugh2:

A win is a win, who even worries or cares about whether they are 100%.

It is week 1 of the year and they are still fielding NFL players. We aren't 100% either.

Their provincial guido fans and the national (i.e. East Coast) mediots weren't saying that when they beat us in Week 17. And we were very gimped up at key positions in that game.
