2:36 pm While RB Gartrell Johnson has impressed, RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot) will be counted upon fully if he's active Sunday. "Gartrell Johnson has practiced all week and he has practiced well," said coach Tom Coughlin. "I feel better about that. But yes, Bradshaw will be utilized however we need him."
2:32 pm Does DT Chris Canty have any hard feelings toward his former team? "I guess we're going to find out on Sunday," he said. Canty was injured in Week 2 when the Giants visited the Cowboys. This will be his first game against Dallas after playing there for four seasons.
2:26 pm DT Barry Cofield does not attribute any perceived lack of toughness by the Giants defense on his surgically repaired knee. "The knee is great," he said. "I feel good." Rather, Cofield suggested a combination of missed tackles and assignments could be the culprit.
2:20 pm When it comes to changing roles on the defensive line, DE Justin Tuck said he "wouldn't be surprised." Tuck has played outside and inside this season on the defensive line.
2:19 pm RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot) sounded as though he will play this Sunday. "My ankle felt great," he said. "I've been great."
2:19 pm With MLB Antonio Pierce on inured reserve, the Giants only have 52 players on the roster. Are they close to adding another? "We may," said coach Tom Coughlin. "We're going to talk about it right now."
2:17 pm RB D.J. Ware (concussion) is out for Sunday's game while TE Travis Bekcum (hamstring), RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot) and S Michael Johnson (groin) are questionable. OLB Michael Boley (back) and QB Eli Manning (foot) are probable.
2:14 pm Despite reports that DE Osi Umenyiora might sit against the run, coach Tom Coughlin insists that's not the case. "He'll play running downs too," said Coughlin. Coughlin refuses to blame any one player for the team's run defense that ranks 14th in yards per carry allowed.
1:52 pm Could LB Bryan Kehl see more time on defense as opposed to just special teams? "No comment," said Kehl. MLB Jonathan Goff will, however, be making that leap Sunday.
12:07 pm Safety C.C. Brown, who had been relegated to backup duty, also saw some time with the first-teamers.
12:04 pm S Michael Johnson (groin) and RB D.J. Ware (concussion) are not in pads today. Ware has already been ruled out of Sunday's game.
11:59 am RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot/ankle), QB Eli Manning (foot), WR Derek Hagan (hamstring) and WLB Michael Boley (back) are participating in today's practice. Bradshaw is without his protective boot today.
11:56 am MLB Jonathan Goff isn't the only special teams star who might see some time on defense. LB Bryan Kehl also practiced with some first-teamers today.
