Oh, Sarge. You're such a meanie. :) Why do I get the feeling that Charles Haley is the perfect guy for your avatar and sig?

Next time Jerry Jones is in front of the camera he should say how everyone knows who America's Team is and it isn't the Giants.

Everybody wants what we have.....

Yes, everyone wants to be the holder of an NFL record 6 straight playoff losses, to be the first No. 1 seed in the NFC to lose in the 1st-round since the NFL went to the 12-team playoff format in 1990, and to be the seventh team to lose a playoff game against a team they'd beaten twice in the regular season. Why would America "still" want us to be its team? I doubt it wants to be represented by a perennial loser. France might want us though....

You have to be the angriest Cowboy fan yet

Why get upset? Everybody except the idiots know who is really America's team. The Cowboys' are America's team and they prove it by being the biggest NFL football draw. That's why they always play the max games they are allowed in prime time. That's why their QB's football jersey has been the best selling jersey since Nov 06. That's why TO, Witten & Barber's football jerseys are among the top 10 best selling jerseys.

We've seen the Colts call themselves America's team, the Patriots, the Packers & now some idiots in NY doing the same thing. Let them claim all they want cause they know nothing is further from the truth.
The Patriots have a fairly good argument though if they are making that claim.

The Patriots are closer to being America's team than the Giants are.
Uhmm no they aren't.

Many teams can claim, but it'll never be the same. There's only one America's Team and that's the Cowboys. Instead of hijacking another team's nickname, the other 31 teams and their fans should come up with their own.

BTW, :welcome:

Please....like 6 straight playoff losses is what separates our franchise from all others....:laugh2:

That is clearly a well thought out RANT. Nothing more.

this is goign to be eating at me until we unload on them next season.

Let's give them some credit. They had a better game plan, they made half-time adjustments to stop Marion Barber, and their defense intimidated Romo (like they did to Garcia, Farve, and Brady). The Giants have a history and tradition of playing hard-hat, smash-mouth defense. Throughout their entire history they were never a high-scoring team. Their defense is the real deal. Also, they are a no frills team: no cheerleaders, no goofy mascot, no c&w singer kicking off the game, and no movie star QBs causing media distractions. All they do is play football. And, even in the two games we won, they played us hard. With a bounce of the ball, they both could have gone the other way. Parcells would have brought some of this to us, but Jerry canned him for losing a game he got us into position to win. (He didn't fumble that snap!) Oh, did I forget to say "no owner interference"!

I say the Giants have earned the title of "America's Team". Like us, they too have fans everywhere. Three cheers for the Red, White, and Blue!

Agreed.

It's hilarious to me the reaction I get when I refer to the Cowboys as "America's Team" when speaking with non-fans. They go NUTS.....so I do it as often as possible when talking to haters.

I think that's why everyone seems to want to pilfer the nickname. They know it drives fans of the REAL America's Team up a wall.

They earned the title? So the giants can't come up with an original ideal? Dallas is America's team that is just the way it is NFL film came up with the catchy phase and it stuck, you say America’s team and people know who you are talking about and it is not the giants. Giants are the SB champs and I have given my congratulation to them but the label of America's team had nothing to do with winning the SB

Thats funny... I use the same technique... "America's Team"..... it worked real well here in NY.... well... until NY won this SB

Ever notice how the media runs with the new owners of America's Team... yet I have yet to hear a player really accept it as theirs....

They HATE that the Cowboys are America's Team therefore they will hate being called America's Team....

 Give credit where it's due: they whooped us when it counted! Three cheers for the red, white, and blue!

'us'

Please.

Two posts on this forum.

Both in a topic about the Giants' fans feeble attempt to garner the America's Team label?

Troll much?

Who isnt these days? I take it as a complement.
I agree.

Winning a SB doesn't earn a team the title of America's Team. Having fans all over the nation and around the world is what earns a team that coveted title. No other team will ever be able to claim that.

Again, it's a complement although it's not intended as one.
