Giants-Pats Game Thread

Eli Manning is the most underrated quarterback in the league, in my opinion.

This opinion won't make me popular around here, but it's an honest one.

JMO, but I feel like "underrated" is a bit ambiguous - it all depends on who's rating him. As far as thisboard goes, he's better than we and I sometimes give him credit for, but where would you rate him?

I'd probably put him 5-10 behind Rodgers, Peyton, Brady, Brees for sure but I don't think he's underrated. I think he gets his props in the media outside of Dallas.

You seem like a pretty smart guy,

Fooled you...:p:

and I mean that. So I have to ask, based on.... what?

He's quietly productive. He's not in the same tier as his brother, Brady, Brees, etc. But he's nowhere near as awful as some would have you believe.

on the best day he ever had
Once again no he couldn't but it still remains, Norton HIT HARD, Ware makes great plays. Great plays by one player means nothing when he is the ONLY player making great plays. A team that hits hard makes the opposing team cringe, the qb duck, and the receiver alligator arm the ball. The Cowboys have 180 lb receivers catching the ball over the middle, and the quarterback stands in the pocket TAKING the hit to get the pass off. Watch what happens when the Giants get in on the rush. Qbs hit the deck, they aren't standing in the pocket looking down field. They are counting, and hearing footsteps.

I could care less about Ware's stats, good for him. I know Norton was/is not as good, I used it as an example. Would Lawerence Taylor be better, wait... he wasn't as good either right? Qb's and runningbacks feared him too if I remember right.

how good is Andy dalton?he is playing exceptionally well for a rookie.

I thought only Romo throws INTs???

This is stupid! Because other Qbs screw up we can't be critical of our qb when he screws up. This is the kind of thinking Jerrah loves.

Fingers and toes are crossed and just for good measure, I tied a knot in another appendage.

I'd rather not say which one. :p:

That's quite the talent.

:laugh1:

Seeing Brady running down-field trying to throw a non block is priceless.

What's funny is that these two powerhouse teams show a lot of characteristics of the 2011 Cowboys. They're no different and have their issues also. It is just a chess match in terms of overcoming the issues.

Grow up some day, OK?

Every post you make is about how bad Romo is, and this is not even a game about the Cowboys!

How do you know this?
Because I watch the same games you do. And I don't see qb's ducking and diving to not be hit by him.

That's a fitting joke as we watch a game with a player named Woodhead.

Patriots are starting to remember that they're the Patriots.

No it isn't, and I didn't bring him up someone else did.

The way he threw it had pick written all over it.

Way he threw it was lucky in and of the fact he caught it to throw it at all.
