I just heard on Sirius satalite radio the Giants are talking about a trade for Braylon Edwards and sending Mathais Kiwanuka.

Wow this makes sense with all those DL signings. I don't have a link..I just heard it so don't shoot the messenger!.

Braylong was great in 07 then positively awful in 08. They aren't going to get Braylon for just Kiwi though.

I can't see how that's a fair deal for Cleveland unless the Giants are throwing in draft picks as well.

If it is true, it further reinforces what I think. That the league's big-market teams (other than Dallas) are operating as if the salary cap is going away.

Let 'em have Braylon. Guy showed no heart last year and IIRC Newman shut him down.

Ya I'm assuming also that it's Mathais and picks also. That would be a steal though IMO. He's only 25 and obviously has some skill since he put up big numbers two years ago. I'm hoping it isn't true.

yeah i still think braylon is a good player but he looked liked 2 different players the past few seasons

no way the browns take kiwi just for braylon, the browns are stupid. its gonna take kiwi and at least a high pick

If this keeps up, Quinn will have no one to throw to.

Yeah, this has been the lastest talk with Giants fans they think they are going to target this guy. Kiwi is now expendable and they picked up a 2nd and 5th for Shockey last year.

Well, Newman was out for the first game this year.

Braylon is a great WR, but does have trouble with his hands. However, his QBs this year really let him down.

Them getting Braylon will get that offense ticking pre-Plax meltdown. The teams in this divisioin obviously believe our season last year was a muligan and that we're gonna right this ship. Other than Philly the G-Men and Skins are doing anything they can to load up. The Browns are getting rid of all their stars, they obviously want to rebuild. I bet Shaun Rogers is traded by draft day. Wouldn't surprise me after we sign Ware that we go get him. No way we find a NT like that with our 2nd rounder. We'd probably get him for it though since that's what they gave up last year for him.

If we get Srings our draft picks will go to safety, LB and o-line. Maybe a young 3rd string QB also. I would think this would be a very good offseason. Maybe Barbie becomes serviceable? He looked good against Seattle in the playoffs. Brooking to mentor him? Would be elated to get something out of that 1st round pick. Ellis re-structures or gets the boot. We're going to let the draft pass and start negotiating with him since that's where he has the least amount of leverage during the year. He doesn't conform than we release him on June 1st. Roy will restructure and stay. I think this is our offseason destiny folks.

I'm not sure what the Browns are thinking this offseason. Mangini must want a COMPLETE shakedown of the roster and build it from scratch. They are getting rid of all their peices that played a role in thier 10-6 season 2 years ago!.

I'm guessing that it would be Mathais a 2nd and 5th for Braylon..I still wouldn't take that If I were the Browns.

I agree..I want no part of Braylon in our division..let alone the Giants. When he's back to his 07 self we will be in trouble...:(

He got deep on us once and the ball hit him right in the hands but he dropped it, as he did everything last year, it should have been a longggg TD pass.

When u play for a weak team like Cleveland everyone wants to leave, it's not the old dawgpound, Cleveland lost all their heart when their team went to the Ravens.

I want to see what Tuck and Peirce say about these high priced signings...I bet they'll spin it so it doesn't look like their buying another championship.

As noted earlier, Newman didn't play in that game (hernia).
