Giants the "best bet" to land Ocho Cinco

I know, it's a misleading headline. Sorry. Just wanted to share some information I received from the people at betonline.com, who are taking wagers on which team Chad Ocho Cinco (nee Johnson) will play for in Week 1 of the 2009 NFL season. The Giants, it appears, are the front-runners, at least in the minds of gamblers.

Here are the odds:

Giants - 5 to 2
Jets - 7 to 2
Cowboys - 5 to 1
Vikings - 5 to 1
49ers - 7 to 1

We don't encourage gambling here, but I should add that anyone who bets on NFL personnel moves has to be completely out of their mind!

That said, anyone have objections to trading for Chad rather than Edwards or Boldin?

Bengals were retards when the Commanders offered 2 firsts last year for Ocho...seriously....TWO firsts and they didn't accept it.

The Cincinnati Enquirer hears that the Bengals haven't even been offered a third-round pick for Chad Johnson.
Ocho's market value has tanked in a year. The Commanders offered two first-rounders for him last offseason. The Bengals might've had motivation to move Chad had Jerome Simpson showed anything in his rookie year, but he didn't. Like it or not, Johnson is probably going to stay in Cincinnati.
