Well, opening weekend was kinda fun, huh?

From Fox Sports

Sunday night
New York Giants at Dallas: Have you heard about the new scoreboard in Dallas?! It's really, really, really big! And cool! And great! And expensive! Enough. Let's just play some football in this thing, already. Tony Romo's won his last four regular-season starts vs. the Giants, and the 'Boys are 34-14-1 (.708) in home openers, the best mark in the NFC. I'm going against the numbers, though. The Giants will ruin Jerry Jones' moment in the sun and do the same thing to the Cowboys fans as BYU did to those Sooners diehards two weeks back in Dallas. Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw go bonkers and carry the Giants on their backs to a big victory in Big D.
The pick: Giants 34, Cowboys 24

If we allow 34 points..........it's going to get pretty ugly around here.

I get to 34 that means they threw the ball pretty well. Doubt that happens.

The Giants aren't as good as everybody thinks and the Cowboys aren't as bas as everybody thinks. Sunday night can't get here fast enough.

I'm going to go out on a limb and state that there isn't a $40 million dollar scoreboard which exists in the entire world. Shoot, I'll say that there isn't a $20 million dollar scoreboard in the world. Just why the heck would anyone spent tens of millions on outdated technology from the 1970's?

It's a videoboard. What's so damn complicated in knowing the difference between it and a scoreboard? It's a ******* 180 feet long, high definition television. Do people go home, grab the remote, turn on their television and say to themselves, "DANG! Look at the quality of those red LED digits count down to zero! Man! This is way better than CSI:Miami!!!"

Pure nonsense.

The widely held preception is that New York is the better team and Dallas is the underdog. Home opening records wouldn't factor into a prediction if that's the case.

With that in mind, the BYU/Oklahoma analogy makes zero sense also. It would be more appropriate to equate BYU with Dallas and Oklahoma with New York since Dallas isn't the favorite entering this game.

Perhaps what happened to Bradford will happen to Manning? Where's switzersflash? He would know.

I think its a hornet's nest for any team, the climate is just intangibly in favor of Dallas.

I wonder how long the reverse psychology will continue. Hopefully all the way through the playoffs...:D

you got to love how every one of these previews is about 80% fluff about the video screen, nice journalism :bravo:

The Giants are a good football team. I don't mind the prediction, but I'd like to hear his reasons why. My wife has a 50/50 chance of picking the winner and she only knows Romo because of his dating history.

You are too generous, if we fall behind at any point in the game, it is going to get ugly.

The only way we give up 34 points is if we turn the ball over several times, and we won't. I don't just want a win. I want us to stomp a mud hole in their ***** and walk it dry.

It's flippin' Thursday and my stomach is in knots over this game.

That's not normal, right?
