Pretty much this. I’ll take Gibbs in 1, LaPorta or Kraft in 2, OL in 3 and then defense. If its between Gibbs and Mayer then i vote for gibbs 100% of the time.
At this point most of the “elite” RBs are rotational players.Solid player, but poor positional value in the 1st for a 199 LB RB that might be a complimentary player more so than bell cow.
Cooks, Lamb, Pollard, Gibbs. The Cowboys need offensive weapons and Gibbs makes us significantly more dangerous offensively.
That's my biggest issue with Gibbs, he is a better version of Pollard, but neither are that bell cow type of runner. No doubt he is an electric prospect, but redundant.Solid player, but poor positional value in the 1st for a 199 LB RB that might be a complimentary player more so than bell cow.
Makes sense....then get a Guard on day 3 that can step in....hmmmm....intriguing.If the plan is to ride Pollard on the tag this year and let him go next - then Gibbs is a great pick. If they plan to try and extend Pollard, then I wouldn't do it.
Gibbs, Kraft and Mingo - that would be a pretty big addition to the offensive weapons.
