Right need to go on PUP before TC starts.
If a long term injury, I think more than 6 weeks, he can go on IR, it I think if they do that, he will be on it for the season.

Now they can put him on the 53, then move him to IR then he will be eligible to return. But then they take a chance on losing another player to waivers until he clears. Depends on how severe it is and how long they expect him to be out.
