We see ex players and coaches sports media with terrible opinions all the time.

The issue is that we have no idea how much time Gil or any other ex NFL player/scout/coach puts into their draft opinions.

Gil gets paid because of his name. Nobody is grading his results.

Understand that Gil has something NONE of us have.......access to coaches and GMs. In other words, teams spend millions on the draft process breaking down prospects from A-Z. Pretty sure Gil has access to info/intel most do not. Just me, but I'd take his evaluation over any draftnik.

Prediction: At least 2 of these players will be All-Pro and better than multiple players ranked in the top 20.

26 …......... WR …......... Jameson Williams
29 …......... IOL …......... Zion Johnson
33 …......... DT …......... Travis Jones
34 …......... OT …......... Tyler Smith

would you take Tyler Smith at 24?

Dane's beast came out yesterday and he had him in the 90's.

I read it and this may sound odd but I'm even more impressed by this kid, not for his talent for what he's had to overcome and still got his degree.
Yes he had some off-field issues ( actually two....one involving a knife as JR in high school and the sexual battery charge that was dropped) but what's weird is his background profile reminds me of Dez a bit and how much he resembles Parsons ( could go for brothers)

He does have issues in his past, but it seems like the type of player Quinn prefers, that dog mentality. We all thought Parsons was a major character risk too, but that worked out in spades.

Gil in the late seventies, definitely.

Gil in 2022 at age 90...is he really grinding though multiple games of each prospect in his top 100...

Even the players that he drafted that went into coaching/scouting have retired...which GM is giving him inside info?

So you know for a fact he does not have access or is it just your opinion?
Talking to guys every year, you are saying he never had contacts with younger people over time?
Never bothered with anyone else?
Want to think on that a little?

He does this every year. It’s easy to go back and see if any of this inside information pays out.
