only issue with that is the OL is not giving the QB more then 3 Mississippi's to throw, if its not already leaving the QBs hand at 3secs its going to be ugly..Steelers will make that shrink 2.5 secs most likely..

It would work best on first down, but yes it won't work very long due to the reasons you mentioned.

it happens teams get decimated by injuries and have down years like 2015 the sting comes off a little knowing that most of the players will be back and with the down year brings you top 5 players in each round f the draft with options to trade down etc and a way to cheaply rebuild your defense etc 4-12 to 13-3

takes the sting off a bit..

SF was 4-12 in 2018 mostly due to injuries' and the next year 13-3 and in the SB because they leveraged some great draft picks including Bosa..

with our offense coming back, will very good and intact we can do the same. Maybe not sb but similar as we did in 2016 but getting defenders who are the zeke and Dak on that side of the ball..
