Kaepernick shows why he was leader of Wolf Pack
Posted: March 24th, 2011 | Gil Brandt | Tags: Nevada pro day, Colin Kaepernick, Dontay Moch, Mike Sheppard, Mike Shula, Vai Taua, Virgil Green
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has gone from virtually unwanted to a high-round draft prospect, and his workout at Nevada’s outdoor pro day on Tuesday further boosted his stock.
Unlock HQ Video HQ video delivered by Akamai Kaepernick, one of 14 players working out on FieldTurf, was very impressive during his 40-play session in front of 26 teams. Jaguars quarterbacks coach Mike Sheppard and Panthers quarterback coach Mike Shula were among those in attendance while Kaepernick ran through his drills, which were scripted by former Cal coach and NFL offensive coordinator Roger Theder.
Kaepernick measured 6-foot-4 7/8 and weighed 228 pounds. He stood on the rest of his combine numbers.
