Very sad to see a man of Brady's accomplishments and stature choose the game over his family. He didn't need to come back this season. There is nothing left to prove.

Yup. I'm thinking they already weren't getting along. Wouldn't be the first dude that took on duties to get away from the wifey. Or the other way around.

It's just an opinion but I think he retired to save his marriage
but it was too little too late.

Sometime during those 40 days he knew the marriage was not
gonna be saved so he might as well play football again.
