I agree with this. Facing adversity doesn't mean you have to be graceful all the time. Bledsoe is a class act. He just wasn't the answer for us.

..except of course the ints. which caused his demotion.

:laugh1:

I think Bledsoe is a class act all the way, professionally and personally. Easily on a par with Aikman or Jim Kelly or any of the great quarterbacks.

Remember, Bledsoe was brought here, like Vinny was before him, to have a shot at playing as a starter and give this team a chance to compete and to buy time while Romo and Henson settled their backup issue and decide if we still needed to pursue a QB in the draft.

He's done everything this team asked of him and it never was a certainty he'd take us to a SB.

His past history sort of discounted that.

I for one, still think he's going to come to the rescue of this team. I beleive that at some point, with the playoffs on the line and/or if Romo should hit a wall or be injured, that Bledsoe will be given his very last shot at helping this team.

All I ask is that for whatever the reason if he does return to play, let the guy play his normal game and don't just force him into gameplans that don't suit him.

I think that most of the gameplans Bledsoe had to work with last year, along with the crippled OL and then again early this year, with having to constantly come from behind with conservative offensive gameplans, just isn't using Bledsoe effectively.

The guy can throw the ball and if we commit to throwing the ball and run second, I think he can be effective. But we did just the opposite the whole time he was here.

We try to play conservatively, eat clock and play defense to minimize scoring by the opposition.

Unfortunately, it also minimizes our scoring opps and magnifies the errors because we don't play a wide open offense and don't play aggressively offensively, which most top teams in the NFL do.

Bledsoe would be much more successful if we opened the ATTACK UP AND STOP WORRYING ABOUT SOME MISTAKES.

The Colts don't worry about offensive mistakes. The Pats don't worry about offensive mistakes. And neither of their teams have 'lights-out' defenses.

Bledsoe would be more effective if he had a HC that wasn't trying to reinvent his 80's teams in 2006.

It doesn't escape me and it shouldn't escape anybody else that Bledsoe is about the 9th QB to not be successful under Parcells.

If Romo ultimately ends up struggling, could it be BP..?

Hmmm...

Just because we won last week with a total longshot QB doesn't mean everybody before him stinks and it doesn't mean we are riding off into the sunset with another SB trophy.

Reality suggests something in between.

Romo maybe it and he may fizzle in 2-3 games.

We don't know. But whatever we do, to be realistic, I'd suggest we keep Bledsoe warm, involved and not alienated.

Just my thoughts.

After all He's gone through in his career and now here in Dallas He is still a class act. I have nothing but respect for him.

I feel pretty bad we didnt do more with him last year. He was obviously comming out to play with something to prove..I remember he played very well for the most part. And honeslty We could of done much more if it wasnt for injuries, the decline play of our oline and a Defense that couldnt finish Teams off.

However this year He's not What I remember. I dont know if the pressure was to much for him to handle or not. He's a different player than what he was when he first came here. And that's why He was replaced.I wish this didnt have to end like this but this Game is all about "what have you done for me lately".

As a Football Fan I feel for him and resepct him for the man he is...Sorry it had to end like this:starspin .

Bash me if you want I just needed to let that out.

My problem with Bledslow is that he still says the QB change was a bad move and that he, not Romo, gives the team the best chance to win.

Hey Drew, shut your piehole and be a freaking team player. How bout saying Romo gives the team a good chance to how you will try to help him out since he is inexperinced. Telling us over and over again how your are so better and that the team is really at a disadvantage with you on the bench is getting old. Especially since we just kicked the Carolina Kitties in a game you would have assuredly lost for us with your usuall 6-7 sacks and picks in the zone.

Just leave at the end of the year and never come back to Texas again....please.:laugh1:

He's not classy. A class-act would have stayed to face the media onslaught after he was benched at halftime. Instead, he ran to his car, insulted the coach's decision, then hit the highway like some sort of sobbing Desperate Housewife. Some "leader."

Are you sure that if it was you that you would have stayed and faced media? maybe not... and IF you claim you WOULD... I am sure MANY couldnt/woudnt

I like it when fans act like they would handle things any better.

See how you act if your boss demotes you in front of the entire country, then a bunch of strangers want to ask you how you feel.

Would you wait around? I strongly doubt it.

Class isn't even part of the equation.

Yeah you summed up what I wrote above. Its not easy at all. But it easy for someone to say they would have handled something they never experienced.

Bledsoe is a class act and always has been. He just went thru a major humilation on national tv, has lost his starting job & career probably ends after this season (he's already said Cowboys would be his last team). Glad you vent your believe cause I think many here agree. As for those who don't, well maybe sometime they go thru similar (more private) experience i.e. get fired from their job, etc. and will learn a lot of truths about themselves. Feel sad for him but still glad Romo got start last Sunday and played so well. Hopefully that will continue and he shows his abilities over the long haul.

Look... I wanted Drew to ride offf Elway-esque too... for the most part, I dont like how it came about in NE and the Buff... I wasnt too happy about signing... but I STILL hoped he would do it.... he didnt and now we have Romo. I am a one man, man.;)

I give Bledsoe credit for fooling BP he could still start in this league. He got 23 starts before proving what most people already knew.

Has he said anything since the Carolina game?? He may have and I missed it, but the impression I get from reading this is that he says it every time he gets a chance. And I'm not sure if that's true.

And even if it is true, of course he's gonna think that. I bet Romo thought that before he got in the NYG game. He just didn't have a mic shoved in his face every opportunity asking him what he thought.

It also doesn't change the fact that I've seen and heard of Bledsoe contributing to help Romo be as successful as he can be.

bledsoe is class act, that people are bashing how he handled being benched is borderline ********. Bash how he played but don't tell me he hasn't handled this better than 90 percent of the guys in the league would have. He is a very proud guy, I guess I don't get why anyone would still be complaining about drew at all. He got benched so all the haters got their wish, why kick a guy when he is down. The bashers are the truly classless ones.

I have been one of Drew's biggest critics due to on the field play, but other than that he is a great guy. No need to rip him.

No doubt. I can only imagine the glee fern fern must have felt when he found this thread. He finally has the perfect thread to lobby for his long time Romo-driven agenda. I can see him now sitting in front of the computer chuckling wildly, rubbing himself all over, and throwin' down some taquitos. He's kind of funny, really.

Same folks who call him classless would've been out for his head if he spoke because it wouldn't of been "go Romo". How classless is that.

For some reason I think we haven't seen the last of Bledsoe this season. If Romo gets hurt or falters (either is plausible given our crap oline) than Drew could come in and lead us into the playoffs and superbowl.

Ridiculous. How is the guy a class act because he got benched in front of a lot of people? How does that make him classy? When you choose the career path of professional sports, you obviously take the limelight and its privacy invasions.

You bask in its glory or you can fall flat on your face. Just as good as it feels to be "the man" in front of millions, there is always a downside to it as well. He is a millionaire whether he does well or not. I can understand the value of sports and achieving your best in it but just the same, millions of dollars doesn't hurt either. He should do what is best for the team and stepping down may have been what is best for this team.
