I think finding a RT there is a much more likely. However Id rater extended Steele. He has become a plus starter and has gotten much better each year he has played

He’s turn into a league average RT. I’d say he’s a + run blocker and mediocre pass protector.

If you can get a 1st round talent on a rookie deal Id take the 10+ mil in savings and spend it elsewhere.

He has given 1 sack this year, and one of the best run blocking in the NFL. True his pass protection overall is so-so, but I would he is much better than league average RT. Im not running out and dropping a 1st to replace him

In hindsight, I'm glad we took Smith in the first round. But Cooper Rush and the defense saved the season.
