MM said in his PC this week, that the team has been in contact with a few veteran QB's, I believe Alex Smith is on top of our wish list. He was taken #1 in the draft by the 49ers when MM was their OC.

Already explained in length why KJ Wright would be a terrific signing by the team. Can play all linebacker positions, knows the scheme/coach and is considered a great leader. He also has the ability to stay on the field in the nickel.

Daquan Jones is what he is, a true run, massive NT. He is the type who can anchor and occupy multiple blockers. He would improve our run defense immediately.

Think with the age of these three, none with break the bank. The longer these players remain available, their prices will start to come down. Sign 2 of the 3 and we are ready to go drafting.

I bet Smith is waiting for a better opportunity to play. If he waits all he way into training camp and preseason he is probably the first QB to be signed in case of starter injury. Or if teams dont get a young QB in the draft.

Alex is going to be expensive but I like him in Dak’s ear a lot. He did the same for Mahomes.

I think you have to sign Wright to at least two years but he replaces Lee and Thomas.

And I’ve wanted Jones since the first wave badly.

No thanks! Veteran backups, Kitna Orton Weedon Beuerlein Dalton etc... have been awful as the past has proven.

Stick w/Gilbert & save the $. Smith's injury took its toll. Thus, he's no longer a starter.

I like this thinking. Sign those three and then hopefully get Surtain in round 1. Then you just start drafting BPA. It seems most here don't want OL in the draft. But, I think we need a young tackle at some point in the draft to begin grooming for the eventual replacement of TS or LC.

I'd be a Dak fan if they sign Alex Smith... he's more boring than Dalton, however, that's exactly what I expect them to do.

I heard KJ was a 2 down player now from a SEA fan, I think. You have to wonder why his market is depressed. DAL needs a LB, but are we sure Wright is the guy?

Was Jones playing 5tech for the Titans? Are there any true NTs left on the market?

I think they would all help.

Yep, and if he doesn't get anything he really likes he could just choose to walk away. He already accomplished an amazing comeback and could leave on his own terms.

I think with our first 2 picks we are going to get 2 good starters within these 4 defensive positions. CB,LB,DT,S

I would wait on DT and LB right now.

QB makes sense although this is a loaded class and you would be surprised what might be available in rounds 3 and 4 at the position.

If we were going to do anything else in free agency, my pick would be a starting corner so we are not wedged into absolutely having to take one in the first round. We don't want either Brown or Lewis out there starting, so give me Sherman.
