He has better technique than Peterson but I'd take Peterson without a doubt.

I wouldn't be upset with Prince wearing a star either though.

we need to get about 5 players from this draft and about 3 good FAs this offseason. We need at least one guard and hopefully two; a stud FS and a stud CB; at least one ILB and one DE. And if we got an extra DE and an extra ILB I would be quite happy. Probably need to look hard and see if we can get another tackle as well- if we could get a serviceable verteran for not too much it would be nice.

Prince is really good player, he reminds me a bit of Vontae Davis from the Dolphins. He's listed on some sites at 6'1", but I'd be willing to wager money he goes about 5'11'' (still adequate height).

One of Prince's strengths is that he supports the run well, which is something this team needs from its secondary.

As someone stated already, Amukamara wouldn't be a bad consolation prize to Peterson. All the other CBs in this draft are well below in terms of ready-made talent compared to Peterson and Amukamara IMO.

thing about amukamara is he is not worth our projected pick.

if some how we can trade down and get him and pick up a 2nd/3rd i would be ok with that. but if we trade down i would rather get the best DE or tackle, then get pouncey, cannon or what ever OG is best on our board, use the extra pick on DE or OT(which ever we didnt take in the first) use our 3rd on ILB/FS

CB isnt the source of our problems and with better play from our safeties and ILBers our CBs would be fine next year but peterson would be too good to pass up imo. newman needs to be on the 'think about replacing' list but i think he has 1-2 more years so we could wait till the 2012 draft if it comes to it

I think you're probably right, I think Prince will likely go somewhere between (rough estimate) No. 8-17...
