Stock Up:
Amaro--Okay I lie I was already high on him but he is the new prototype. Texas Tech teaches guys to get open and catch the football if nothing else. Size and strength to block as well.
Verrett--Elite quickness and speed. Top 2 CB in the draft are from the Big 12.
Gilbert--See above and add a lot of size and strength. Should be a top 10 pick.
Donald--Now he is choice 1 at 16 for me. Measurables plus production are simply too good for him to get past 10 imho.

Stock Down:
Ealy--Overall not as athletic as advertised which is probably; why he made so few plays.
Sam--No issues with his sexual preferences but his combine numbers belong to mediocre high school kids. ironically has great tape.

Stock up:
Aaron Donald- explosive in all drills. He will be a mid 1st rounder now.
Justin Gilbert- Size and speed. Could be the 1st corner taken
Jason Verrett- Elite speed, but a little on the small side
Dri Archer- Blazing speed, 2nd fastest time ever at the combine. Will intrigue teams as a kick returner/ specialist
Brandin Cooks- 4.33 speed could get him into the 1st round now

Stock down:
Michael Sam- The fact that he is gay will not drop his status as much as his lack of athleticism
Dee Ford- Talked alot of mess that he was better than Clowney, and did not participate in any drills due to injury
Luchiez Purifoy- Slow time in the 40 could drop him out of the top 50
Jackson Jeffcoat- Did not show athleticism needed to be a LB, and to small to be a DE.
Lache Seastrunk- Was suppose to turn heads with a 40 around 4.3. He ran two 40's in the 4.5 range

Stock up:

Aaron Donald - Before the combine I had some doubts he would be a value pick at 16, but he erased them with his performance. I now have confidence he can be a day 1 starter at DT3, and has Pro Bowl potential in the future.

Zack Martin - He impressed me as an athlete and Mayock really helped drive his stock up for me with his comments about how Martin could play OT, OG, or Center. This is a dream scenario for a team. I consider him a very possible candidate to be the BPA at our pick, and I have no problem with taking him, even if Donald is still on the board.

Jadavoean Clowney - He is a special athlete and the combine confirmed that. I believe he interviews well and teams will get to alleviate some concerns about his mental make-up. The Texans should take him #1, and before the combine I did not see it that way.

Mike Evans - Special athlete, smooth, natural, elite potential. I thought he had a great combine. Should be gone before 16. In play if he is still available. He is that special.

Other notables with a stock-up combine were:
CB Justin GIlbert
CB Jason Verrett
CB Victor Hampton

Notables with a stock-down combine:
DE Jackson Jeffcoat (took him off my mock, not ideal size nor did he impress in drills)
FS Calvin Pryor (doesn't have 1st round athleticism)
TE Jace Amaro (looked pretty average, nothing special)
TE Eric Ebron (would be surprised if he is taken early)
LB Anthony Barr (don't see him as a good fit in our scheme)

What's it going to be then, eh?

I try not to let the workout numbers sway my opinions much but I do like seeing how the players function in the individual drills.

Beckham was someone I always liked but now I am smitten after seeing how smooth he was. Everything looked effortless. Same goes for Donald.

Terrence Brooks was more of an afterthought to me since I like Telvin Smith and Lamarcus Joyner, but he looked good as well. I was also intrigued by Exum, who looked fully recovered from his injuries. Bitonio looked outstanding. Brock Vereen is someone I now have to go back and watch.

The players who I was disappointed in were the Florida corners. I thought they all looked terrible.

Guys that did better than expected and caught my eye.

Martavis Bryant
Antone Exum
Kareem Martin
Phillip Gaines
Kevin Pierre-Louis
Marqueston Huff
Chris Smith

I knew what Phillip was all about. I have been watching him since HS. I knew he would come in and put on a quality performance. Before the combine he was a 6-UDFA depending on the site you look at. IMO, with his game tape and combine, he could shoot as high as the 4th round.

he has good size, great speed, fluid hips, is quite intelligent, a hard worker, and a lockeroom leader.

Yeah I think it was mayock who threw out a Brandon Browner comparison. Can't say that I've actually seen him play but he definitely has every measurable you could possibly want from a CB. Would not hate it if he was bpa in the 5th.

Kid can ball! and we have a stating spot awaiting if he is the pick.

WOW. I hear you loud and clear. He is the 4th tackle off the board and they all can play. Very interesting your comments on ZM

Jadavoean Clowney - He is a special athlete and the combine confirmed that. I believe he interviews well and teams will get to alleviate some concerns about his mental make-up. The Texans should take him #1, and before the combine I did not see it that way.

Agree. I felt and feel the same on the Clown Man

Mike Evans - Special athlete, smooth, natural, elite potential. I thought he had a great combine. Should be gone before 16. In play if he is still available. He is that special.

I was down on Evens before the combine. My mistake.

Other notables with a stock-up combine were:
CB Justin GIlbert

fastest corner

CB Jason Verrett

just as fast as Gilbert jumps higher awesome skills on the field tackling and showed combine quickness in cone and shuttle top 10 - 15 pick

CB Victor Hampton

didn't impress

Notables with a stock-down combine:
DE Jackson Jeffcoat (took him off my mock, not ideal size nor did he impress in drills)

sad day in Texas lol

FS Calvin Pryor (doesn't have 1st round athleticism)

Dix is the top safety and a FS that we could use

TE Jace Amaro (looked pretty average, nothing special)

no jerry

TE Eric Ebron (would be surprised if he is taken early)

no jerry

LB Anthony Barr (don't see him as a good fit in our scheme)

Quicker than strong. Good fit for the Cowboys as a sam

OLB Ryan Shazier

Love this kid. Another 10-15 pick that would make us forget about Bobby Carpenter

OLB Kevin Pierre-Louis

combine warrior.

OT Taylor Lewan

Mean streak and lit up the combine
