Seriously.
So many possibilities with all of the draft picks and such a squandering of the draft.
Jones and Jenkins are keepers, yeah. And the others???

A TE with the third pick?
A RB in the fourth round? To backup Jones? Barber? Tashard Choice? Did the name impress Jerra? Maybe a Polite would be better than wasting this draft choice.

Man, what a lousy second day of drafting.
This second day was a disaster.

You can give it what you want. I give it an A and we also got an extra 3 and 4 for next year's draft.

Wheww:eek: , good thing you are not running the team. I bet every single one of your pick in place of the ones that were picked can be criticized to no end. OHHHH...the horror of it all what was Jerrah thinking, Mr. couch potato who spent zero hours flying to combine and zero hours analyzing game tapes was not part of the decision making....get over it!!! You are one of those people that cried wolf because we picked Demarcus over Mr. Steroid way back when....

Absolutely a A.

Special teams: Felix and Pac-man will be sick on PR and KR but don't underestimate Scandrick who blocked 4 punts this season

Offense: We officially have a speed threat on offense that will take some pressure off of TO and Witten in Felix Jones. We can use him in so many ways out of the backfield, he will be Garrets new toy.

Defense: Demarcus Ware, Anthony Spencer, Ratliff, Ellis and Hatcher should be bowing to Jerry Jones and the job that he did in getting them more time to get to the QB. We are deep in man to man cover corners now. Let me say that again we are deep in man to man cover corners now. Jenkins and Pacman alone are gonna be big for this team and the best thing is we won't have to rush Jenkins.

Now add that we got a 3rd and a 4th next year and this draft can be considered a easy A.

I disagree strongly.6 instant contributors. DAY 2 - ar the minimum, Special Teams units in 2008 are strengthened after losing Davis, Ayodele, Reeves, and Jones.

I give it an A.

Looking at alll the scouts rankings... they got value with every single pick.

I know you guys wanted someone like Manningham - but it would have made absolutely no since to draft him - when more than likely he wouldn't even supplant Hurd as the 4th receiver.

Taking a TE is definitely hard to swallow - espeicially after trading one away for a 4th?

Hard to make sense out of that.

But from everything I've read - this guy was a huge value.
I saw one commentator say if he had stayed in school another year - he could've been the first TE taken next year.

This pick was all Garrett. I think he knows with Marion and Felix... our red zone offense could be incredible when we're in a 2 TE set.

I understand that Cowboys went for value or BPA during the draft.
However, I don't understand why they picked a back-i[TE and a Back-up, back-up RB with their 2nd and 4th round pick, when there are more pressing needs such as WR.

More specifically, we can't count on glenn for the next season. In addition, if T.O. gets injured (for whatever reason), we are looking at Crayton as our #1 receiver, Sam Hurd as our #2, and Miles Austin as our #3. That's a pretty scary scenario.

Secondly, we essentially spend a 4th rounder on a 3rd string RB (a couple touches a game at best), which just doesn't make good sense. I mean he won't have the chance to play as the change of pace RB.

Don't even get me started on the TE fiasco. First, we traded away a 2nd round TE with 2 years of development. We then proceed to draft TE with a 2nd round pick. Furthermore, this TE isn't even that good of a blocker. Therefore, essentially, he's going to sit behind Witten and catch 1-2 balls a game.

you liked going for a RB AFTER we took Felix Jones?

Really?

The TE in the second round (third pick) was a wasted pick in relation to other needs, like WR or safety at that point.
You have Barber, now F. Jones and you burn a draft pick mid round for another RB? Are we that deficient in RB?

Naw, the first two picks were good solid picks to fill critical needs.

The rest just sort of slide downhill.

Actually Martellus Bennet is a great blocker. Whoever said he wasn't a great blocker has a jaded opinion or just didn't do her homework.
Fasano proved in 2 years that he wasn't good enough to make our team better. We need players that will make our team better.
We absolutely needed the 2nd RB due to the fact if one of the first 2 go down what then? Tremendous value with both RB picks.

The CB situation is now a strength on our D. Two of our three needs were completely filled. Not to mention special teams. That alone should be a reason to laugh at someone who cries "we didn't get a WR". We do need another WR, so what? What is new? We have time to get one. No need to pick a Limas Sweed - he or any of the other WRs were not a good value where we would have chosen them.

We get an A.

There were no WRs available at 61 that were worth a 2nd round pick.

And you do realize that most teams actually carry 3 RBs right?

I think everyone pretty much expected a running back to be taken today -- and that wouldn't have changed if we drafted Mendenhall or Jones.

Had the pick been Mendenhall, a Slaton type would have been a priority today. With the pick being Jones, we needed a Choice type.

As for the C-minus grade, that's extremely low in my estimation. You're basically saying we had one of the league's worst drafts with that grade. With the solid number of value picks we had, I don't think there's any way that could be argued.

That's awesome, Comic, real funny.
:laugh2:
So we must get ALL of RBs in the draft. :)
If every position got restocked by the draft ... let me put it this way, there are not enough draft picks to restock even three positions, so good try but no cigarito, Comic.

Ill agree with the C - grade. Jones was a stretch.Especially with Mendenhall on the board.Jenkins was a nice grab at that spot. The tight end in the second round made absolutely no sense to me.You could of had one much later in the draft.Unless Dallas is looking to to something with Witten down the road. Then Ill have egg on my face.Choice I think will be a good grab.Especially if Barber doesnt re sign or snaps a leg or something. There running styles are similar.I think Choice might be faster.I do have issues with leaving Manningham on the board for the Giants. That was a huge mistake.Especially after we needed a receiver. C-
