Considering the major inconsistencies with the offense. I don't think Jerry is going to hand over the reins to Garrett at this point. Well, unless the Cowboys completely dominate from here on out on offense. I really don't see that happening though.

The thing is Wade didn't pick Campo or Houck as assistant coaches, he had other folks in mind that I can't remember. I know Houck is a good coach bet sure can't seem to keep the pocket clean or run block worth a crap. Jerry picked those guys and if you look at the game yesterday the secondary and O line could have played better. I'm not saying that Wades guys would have been better but Jerry making the coaching decisions and blaming Wade isn't right.

He also didn't seem to have any clue how to call a coverage that didn't leave Steve Smith ... you know ,the guy who caught like 140 yards on us the previous meeting ... wide open on seemingly every 3rd down.

Wade didn't miss the tackles. the defense did force a fumble that gave Dallas a short field that lead to a TD. Mike Jenkins had a great game. Sensabaugh nearly got Jacobs on that long wrong, but credit to the guy blocking (HOLDING) him for keeping him just out of the play.
Missed tackles. Better tackling changes a few things but oh well, maybe next week.

To say Wade Phillips has gotten a free pass from the fans is just crazy.

A coach that can't choose his own position coaches doesn't have much authority. I can't think of too many Superbowl winning coaches that weren't respected or feared by their players, it just doesn't happen in the NFL. Wade was set up to fail.

Sometimes a team doesn't play well in all phases of a football game and falls short. We were burnt on many overaggresive pursuit plays on both special teams and defense.
I will take overaggressive vs underaggressive every time.
Very few presnap penalties too so there is indication of a team gaining discipline not losing it, save for Flozell's actions at the end of the 1st half.
I really think our conservative playcalling early in the ballgame cost us a few points as well- throw in a missed field goal and a few lucky breaks for the Giants they always seem to get against us and there ya go.
We'll be ready to play our best game on Sunday. Watch and see.

maybe you're right, and they're just silenced by the vocal minority (of said dolts).
i've been very outspoken about our staff and i do see MANY people wanting to KEEP WADE (even those who hate him) because he has good overal recoard and a new HC means a new defense or whatever.
even locally people see wade & jason as ok and romo as a "choke artist" or "blame jerry".
i think wade gets a free pass from fans because of JERRY actually
fans criticize wade but they also rip into romo, and roy and crayton and barbie and whoever made a bad play due to poor coaching that week.

Yeah, Wade gave up that Jacobs TD, caused Marion to fumble deep in our own territory, caused the punt return TD and made Folk miss the two FGs.
