The NFL has tried their hand with the Patriots being the top team and it's bored fans to tears. The only thing the Patriots have that spices life into the game is that they are tried and true cheaters of the game. That provides a villain for the league, but at the cost of many fans legitimately believing that the game is rigged.
That's what made the NFL #1 sport in America. Whether we like it or not, between the draft and the salary cap, it gave every team's fanbase hope in the following season. Now team's fans have less hope because the Patriots win each year and have been proven cheaters. It's one thing to lose to a great team, it's another to lose to a team that has the cards stacked against you. The fact is that the NFL's popularity is in decline and the Patriots and their cheating have played a role in this.
I don't root for injuries. I don't like Gronk. I don't find him humorous and I get tired of the schtick. Even Brady, who blatantly cheated (and his fumble rate is up this year...surprise!) is just a soldier and he learned to cheat from Belichick and Co.
I do believe bad things happen to bad people and sooner or later, karma will really hit Kraft and Belichick.
