I am a huge fan of the man a lot because of himself as person off the field but I also think he is a really good #2 running back, I think just overall he is a solid solid RB. Obviously not Zeke but he has some nice moves, and if there is a hole, he gets it up in there. I think overally a very very solid #2 back for us. Seems to me we are lucky to have him. Good person also. I don't see how we can't root for the guy.

Seems to me he is always running for a strong 4-5-6-7 yards. then they just go away from pounding it. I say keep pounding it for a bit with Al, get the D tired go play action and own it. There are opps. What do you guys think?

I have been a Morris doubter, mainly because it's just a non-flashy style of running. He never lowers his shoulder through a defender/falls forward and has very limited speed/quickness.

But I'll be damned if his vision style of running doesn't work. Hats off to Morris. He's done a really nice job. We're as spoiled as you can be with the greatest running back on planet earth, but it's nice to have a solid backup behind him when called upon.

Yeah seems like we are always in 2nd and 5 or 4 when he runs. That's a very favorable down. Another run then and 3nd and 2 or 1....that's a nightmare to defend. Tonight in that down our next play was usually a 10+ yard gain. it was over for the Skins.

It's always going to be tempting to look at his runs and think about what Zeke would've done with it.

Everyone has said to themselves "Zeke would've ran for __ on that play," at least once during this past few weeks. But he's shown nice patience and today's game was what most of us knew he was capable of behind this OL. Glad he's having success, he's a good dude.

27 carries for 127 and a Touch,,,
That's what we need from this offense every week going forward, Ive seen less likely happen before.

Agree on all points, wonder if the skins are regretting letting him walk as Matt Jones turned into fumblerooskie. Morris was one of the few cheapskate signings we've had recently that worked out. Excellent back up. If we had Brady and Beli on our team or Rodgers... You could probably get by with Morris as your lead back.

Morris has always been that runner that gets stronger with the more carries he gets, hes a plodder, with a little versatility, and can finish.
That's all this OL needs to be successful, Zeke is like adding racing tires to a sports car.

Well I for one am glad Morris finally had a good game and it couldn't have happened at a better time against his one time former team.

Morris is a player that had 3 seasons of 1,000 yards rushing, and his worse season before he got here was 725 yards rushing. It's not exactly like he has lost speed or anything, so I never doubted him.

He's probably one of the better backups in the league in terms of being a pure runner. I still think when we have Zeke, we don't utilize him well enough.

Hopefully, since he's starting now, we have found a way he can be effective even when Zeke returns.

When you have a guy like Zeke, it's hard to utilize anyone else. I always find myself lamenting the load Zeke carries, but the second he's off the field for a play I'm furious.

I hate his taste with cars though .. He needs to contact me to fix him with a cool ride

1991 Mazda doesn't do it for a Cowboy

I agree. Zeke is a Corvette that keeps just killing everyone one. Alf is like a Dodge Charger that does what he has to do and if you aren't careful will dust you for a long run. I don't think either are bad in their roles but it would suck right now if we had a Hyundai as a running back. Really the games we lost, RB was not even close the problem if you step back and look. I hope this game if anything gives the playcallers more confidence to stick with the pound the rock mentality and hit them with the type passes that happened tonight. A 6-7 yard carry on first down is an absolute killer to a defense. Gotta keep rolling with that.

He had a nice game, kudos for that......but.....couldn't help but notice on a few runs it appeared he left a lot of meat on the bone.

Could not agree more. The running game isn't on the long list, let alone short list, of problems that have plagued the team since the Chiefs game.

Sean Lee's absence/defensive woes > coaching (1980s pop warner offense in particular) > OL issues would be my short list of issues during the historic blowout streak. Followed closely by Dak's loss of confidence and the shocking ineptitude of the receiving corps' ability to create any separation.

Here Here. Or perhaps Dilly Dilly.

Your last part is the problem I have, I've noticed when Morris comes in, there is just no space to run. He and Zeke aren't exactly the same types of backs - now I am not an offensive guru nor do I draw up the playbook, but if Morris is going to take the load off Zeke (which they still seem to want at times), why not change up the blocking scheme when he's taking over for a series?

We can say what we want about Randle, but he complimented Murray well in 2014.

I wonder what McFadden is thinking. Probably "I can do that." He's a different type of runner, though. I wanted to keep both of them. I'm still not sure why he was cut (and the timing of it). Oh well, I wish him well in retirement.

With all due respect man, Is this a joke[what I bolded] Morris is one of the hardest backs to tackle i've seen in the NFL for a while, he usually always falls forward and gets past first contact
