Not poking at you Zax, but I'm gonna give you the glass back this time, half full... Every team in the NFL is going to have good games, squeakers that shouldn't have been, and just games that make you say *** (Washington 2005 in DC)?
O-line better? LA is gone, so the line will be able to move better. Flo is returning from an ACL, Pettiti is returning with a full season of starting under his belt... he knows with film work what to do to get better... We have a new OL coach and we will draft more linemen along with our 2 FA pickups. Rivera will be better mark my words (Glass Half Full). Playing like he did last year I KNOW left a sour terrible taste in his mouth... He will return with a vengeance. RG will be solid and we will probably have depth from the draft at his position... Draft 345 pound G Taitusi "Deuce" Lutui of USC in the 2nd or 3rd.
Can JuJo stay healthy? Dallas learns how to use the screen pass game with him and with Terrell Owens at WR and Witten absolutely killing the middle of the field by outrunning slower LBers Dallas leads the NFL in passing yardage... Give Ju Jo some open spaces, like we saw in 2004 and he will annhialate the defense... Barber will get the hammer RB job because he runs with a vengeance... pretty good for a 4th round RB... Bill knows his later round RBs.
Bledsoe will be fine... He lost receivers in Buffalo (P Price), Dallas added TO and Witten will be open more... Witten goes to the pro bowl as an all pro!!
Terry Glenn will be fine... Remember our new FA WR will relieve LOTS of pressure. Also, TO will see a father figure in Coach Parcells, something his life has missed out on. Owens will be ready to make a believer out of Cowboy fans worldwide. "Jerry, I know what's expected of me, I wont let you down!"
Here's a few more what ifs also...
Jacques Reeves comes into his own, we saw him get better during a couple of opportunities in 2005, and he can get even better as well, even if an injury to T-New, Glenn, or Henry occurs...
Marcus Spears and Chris Canty become an absolute terror for the opposing offensive backfield. Furthermore, after a full off-season of strengthening and studying film... You just can't tell week to week in 2006-07 which one looks more like Richard Seymour of NE.:starspin
Lastly, who gets to feast on all the pressure caused by our new D-Line, in their second year of the 3-4?? Demarcus Ware... 16 sacks and constant pressure... An absolute killer and able to run around any LT in the league... He's now worked on his inside move and he's strong enough now to beat his man inside... Double team him or suffer!:laugh1:
Another could be! Ju Jo rushes for 1300 yards, and Barber becomes the short yardage back and scores 12 TDs... Tyson Thompson is 3rd string and averages 8 ypc... Total hammer to finish games once Dallas has the lead. Dallas leads the NFL yet again in TOP but this time averages 5 ypc in rushing... Dallas leads the NFL in rushing yardage!! That has been the plan all along and it works this year...
