Lasik. :) I got Lasik around March 2003 I think. Maybe it was 2002.

What, did the ophthalmologist slip and fry part of your temporal lobe?

Jokes aside, did you have any side effects and if so, did they go away?

Starbursts and halos when looking into direct light. (like headlights or other bright lights)

The effects went a way for the most part, but I still get them (starbursts, not halos) when looking into really bright directed like. (like looking straight into a headlight, not from the side) Though, I'm not sure if I didn't get that before the Lasik or not in that situation.

I will say this, it was definitely worth it.

The only down side I see is that although my vision was about 20/20 afterwards, things aren't quite as sharp as they were while wearing glasses. You can still see and read, but glasses would produce a visual sharpness I just don't get anymore. It's very minor, but initially noticeable. Without question, I would do it again if needed.

Both. Contacts when I want to be more active, glasses when I want to give my eyes a break.
