Looks like the Chiefs are moving him back to NT after trying him at DE last year. Was suppose to be the sure thing coming out of LSU, but I'm not sure the Chiefs know how to use him.

I think Todd Haley was here when Crayton was drafted. Maybe we can package something.

I know we have some quality D-lineman, but we also have 3 of those guys we are unrestricted FA's next year.

Happy to see we aren't the only organization that struggles to find talent from LSU:cool:

We can trade Crayton for Dorsey and a 3rd rounder.

Then we can put Dorsey at DT, and FINALLY move Ratliff to DE.

In the meantime, hopefully Dez will learn to talk goodly.

No idea why people pick DTs high in the draft. They almost never live up to the draft pick.

That's because LSU stinks. Sincerely, USC fan

I remember some people here wanting the Cowboys to move up and get Dorsey.

Not such a good idea, is it now?

Dorsey stinks. Maybe he is the defensive equivalent to Jamarcus Russell.

I always thought this guy was overrated. He was a fat 300 lbs, didn't have big strong legs, and just never seemed like the beast he was made out to be.

That said, he'd be better in a 43 than in that Parcells-style 34 they're running now.

Great idea! Lets move the best NT in the NFL to another position. :p:

I'd rather sign Henderson and have him play Spears' DE spot. And if the Cowboys are going to trade for a DL, I'd rather trade for Shaun Rogers (who can play NT as well as 3-4 DE) and some other Cleveland players.

Spears, Gurode, Butler & Crayton for Shaun Rogers, Veikune & Alex Mack.

I guess if you're really wanting him for depth purposes at DT I could see maybe trying to give up a little something for him.

The idea that we'd bring him here so we could move Rat to DE is absolutely crazy. Rat is quite possibly the best NT in football right now and to move him, just to be moving him, would be stupid.

Very true.
There is a very long list of busts in the DT position...very long.

I think we added a couple of NT one in the Draft

7 DT Sean Lissemore, William & Mary Height: 6-4 Weight: 286

In 14 games, Lissemore accumulated 66 tackles, 14 of which came for a loss, 6.5 sacks and 2 interceptions.

Sean Lissemore. Lissemore has to be one of the only, if not the only, defensive tackle to enter a draft as a former track star in high school. His 11.20 seconds in the 100m made him one of the best sprinters in New Jersey. A high school linebacker at 6'3, 240 pounds, Lissemore has since gained 50+ pounds yet managed to keep his linebacker speed. His 4.83 40 yard dash would have placed him among the fastest DTs at the combine if he had received an invite.
With all that speed, the next, logical step is to question his strength. His 36 reps on the bench press would have earned him third amongst the defensive lineman at the combine. His 30 inch vertical is very respectable for anybody near the 300 pound weight range.

one in UDFA

NT Junior Aumavae, Minn State 6-2 #330

“He said I have a real good chance to anchor their nose position,” Aumavae said. “They were very excited and they welcomed me to the team.”

Aumavae was in contact with Dallas during the seventh round of the draft, and there was a chance that he could have been selected with the Cowboys’ final pick. Dallas actually chose another defensive tackle, William and Mary’s Sean Lissemore

Um... Bradie James? I'd say that was a pretty good pick.

Ratliff is not moving to DE.

We cannot repeat this enough, imo. I don't know when people are going to get it.

Ratliff is a pro-bowl, maybe all pro, nose tackle, because of our scheme. He is an average/below average 3-4 DE.

Veikune.

Dorsey in already on the Cowboys.

His name is Marcus Spears.
