Under Romo, it's been great to see Crayton really come on like gangbusters these past few weeks...

But now that Glenn looks to be healthy again, which receiver do you think will have a bigger day?

I just don't see how the Colts can stop us when we go 5 wide with Owens, Glenn, Hurd, Crayton, and Witten spreading out the D.

Who cares....

Glenn's 32 and Crayton is hitting his plateau at 28. Give me Calvin Johnson...

I think we'd be more effective with JJ/Barber and Hoyte to lead the way in the backfield. There's no way they can stop the run.

Speaing of receivers how about next years draft class, pending they all come out. Sydney Rice, Calvin Johnson, Ted Ginn, D'wayne Jarrett, Jeff Samardjia?, etc.

I saw a few Georgia Tech games, and Calvin Johnson was awesome. I would be very happy if we could get him.

Great point.

Crayton is what he is.....a nice complimentary receiver.

Glenn is a fine deep threat, but how much does he have left?

Right now, Glenn is still a MUCH better receiver when healthy. Just as good catching the ball, much more dangerous deep threat.

That being said...we need to draft a WR this year. I like the potential Hurd and Austin have, but there's no way we can count on two UDFA to develop into starters.

The answer to the question is Glenn.

The answer to getting a WR in the first is maybe. I'd rather go CB honestly.

I think Ginn and Jarrett will come out for sure.. Noy sure about Sydney.. Maybe Steve can convince him to come back. I think Calvin mught stay too but I think he is on pace to graduate early anyway. I believe during those games on ESPN they always talked about how he wanted to earn his degree.

Samarzdija I would love... but essentially he is an exact clone of Keyshawn. He has got great hands but I bet he runs a high 4.5, low 4.6. If he runs a 4.4 then my attitude would change. He runs great routes but and has game speed.

Ginn is going to be a game breaker. World Class speed with above average hands. I think once he puts on like 10 pounds and refines his routes he will be a faster Torry Holt.

Calvin is a freak. I dont think he has the 4.3 speed that they claim he has but at 6'4, 6'5 and 234 he is a beast. A absoulte Goaline Terror is what he would be. If he had any other RANKED College QB in the Country he would be nasty on the stat sheet. If Brady Quinn was throwing to him, he would be Maurice Stovall with more speeed.

And then Sydney and Jarret to me are the same guy. I think Sydney had a better year last year but is still a first round pick. I always though Jarret would be like Mike Williams but Dwayne has better agility and runs more fluidly. Just my two cents

Ill take anyone of them... TO 32, Terry 32 and Crayton 28.. Sure Austin and Hurd have been somewhat of a surprise , but give me a first round talent..\

You cant teach size and speed...

Personally, I expect them to give so much attention to T.O. and Glenn, including help from their upper eschellon safety if he's healthy, that Crayton may have a good game, but then I think it may be Witten who will have a huge day for the Cowboys early...when they try to stop him, we may see T.O. explode.

I'm thinking Crayton could surprise us all again...

He and Romo have been hooking up big time lately, so should that stop just b/c Glenn is back in the lineup instead of Hurd?

?

I'm not really seeing two things:

1) I don't see why this board prefers Hurd over Crayton - Crayton is still getting better. Which leads me to....

2) How is Crayton hitting his plateau? If anything, I'd say he's finally hitting his stride.

Seriously, how can you tell that he's hitting his plateau?

Last year people were already saying that he hit his plateau, and he only proceeded to get better.

It's all ridiculous if you ask me.

Patrick is still in traditional developmental stages for a receiver, typically considered 'three years'. The other one of Bill's '3 years' markers - the time it takes a receiver to truly understand all the nuances of the pro game.

Imo, PC is very fast developing..hasn't Bill mentioned he has learned ALL the receiver positions and routes?

I know the way Tuna uses PC (demonstrative of much trust in his versatility) give some folks the impression that Bill views him as an ideal slot, #3, specials contributor. But I think Tuna sees him as a true starter - a complementary #2 like he had in the Wayne Chrebet mode. He just needs to be matched up with the right #1.

Hurd is also coming along very fast - does anyone see a lot of AB in his physique and stride? He reminds me of Bryant on the field a great deal, (not his character).

TOTALLY agree with that.

I even thought he looked like him during last weeks game....

same build, everything... except, hopefully BETTER in time - and without that attitude.
