Glenn's greatest asset still is his speed, but he has learned to take advantage of off coverage and become a better route runner, turning quick slants and curl routes into big gains. With Terrell Owens on the other side of the field, Glenn often sees favorable coverage. He is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. (from War Room scouts)

I disagree, I believe it is his hands. Glenn has excellent hands and will do whatever it takes to make a catch. Lots of guys are fast but very few have good hands, that's what makes Terry Glenn so special.

If Owens had hands like Glenn he would pass Jerry Rice as the all-time leader in receptions.

I'll throw a third opinion in there...I say its his quickness. I can't think of a DB that can cover him man-to-man

I'll throw in a 4th option and say it is his route running. Of course, you still have to catch the damn ball no matter how you get there so I'll stick with his hands.

Just made me think of the stupid remark by the Eagles receiver (name just went right out of my head) who said that he "wanted to thank his hands for being so great". Obviously he must be talking about his sex life. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!

No kidding, just look at a Terry Glenn highlight reel and try and tell me dude doesn't have great hands.

Sure a highlight reel is made to have the player look good, but those are some wicked catches, regardless.

You guys are all right. He's one of the better receivers in the league. He's a complete WR which is why I consider him a #1 WR and arguably better than TO.

He doesn't have TO's ability to break tackles and he's not as physical but he has some of the best hands in the business, elite speed, quickness including getting in and out of routes and creating separation, and he runs precise routes. He's a much better candidate for timing routes than TO who I predict will cause some problems for JG.

I haven't said it because I figured people would just think I'm bashing TO but TG is a better all around WR than TO. TO should be a little better and he may well be this year. But he wasn't last year which may be due to his hand. There isn't much difference in overall talent though and we're very lucky to have a tandem like them. And Crayton may make them the best trio in the league.

When has Glenn turned a slant route into a big gain? I don't even recall the last time he caught a pass on a quick slant pattern.

I don't think of him as a threat to score from anywhere on the field. I guess my definition is just a little different. To me, getting the label of being able to score from anywhere(or at least make huge plays) is not only getting behind the coverage, but taking short and immediate routes and turning them into huge gains. Glenn lacks that part in his game. That is just a fact, not a criticism.

He is good at what he does and what is asked of him. Move the chains by making sure handed catches in critical situations and every now and then get behind the coverage for big plays. Some of his best plays aren't the long bomb TDs catches(especially on a couple of flea flickers), but the numerous sideline routes just past the 1st down marker where he shows off his great hands.
