Go out and sign this guy...

Elton Brown

Currently not employed. Cut in September.

He is only 27 years old. The 2005 4th round draft pick is 6'5", 332 lbs and has starting experience. He played 2 years with Bigg. He has Dallas Cowboy offensive lineman written all over him.

No thanks needed for my assistance. Call me on Draft Day if you need me.

I would've liked to bring in Elton Brown during the off-season when he was a free agent on a cheap contract.

He's the type of player who is at worth looking at, so bring him in for a workout and see if he's healthy and decent conditioning.

What makes him worth signing?

I see you listed his heighth and weight. Admirable. I see you listed he played with Davis for 2 years. Nostalgia.

Now why should we sign him?

Maybe because Colombo broke his leg yesterday, Flozell got nicked and we could use another body. He has to be better than Proctor.

Proctor is far from great, but that does not mean anyone and everyone HAS to be better than proctor.

We thought the same of Holland and Holland can not even get activated for a game anymore.

With the trouble that GreenBay, Washington and a few other teams have had this year with their o-Lines (much worse than our current state by the way) one would think one of those teams would have brought him in and signed him...one might consider why they have not and if you can find that out, it might be the same reason we have not...yet.

Just saying...the old He has to be better than (insert players name) mentality has failed time and time on this team in the past.

You may be right. I am not saying we should sign the guy but I do think we should explore all options.

Isn't offensive tackle important enough to warrant someone being on the practice squad at the position?

We have a guard there, Travis Bright.
