It stopped here for the night which is good. I explored some options to trade back into round 1 just to get a value, it was a little pricey when I was making the calls but I did receive some feelers myself.

NE at 27 wanted #45, #81 & #152
NE at 31 wanted #45, #81

What I did like is possibly the Vikings at #35 depending on Kirkpatrick being there for them wants #45 & #81 and we would get #35 and #98

I'm very surprised with decastro. That we've had no contact or brought him in for a visit etc.

Dont like either NE deal. Like the MN deal.

That's a ridiculously good trade - move up 10 spots and only have to pay by moving down 17 spots over a round later? Heck, you could probably do that and then trade #35 back down to the 40s and get much better value in return.

Mercilus in a trade up would be a solid target. Very interesting.

That would be crazy! I'd be ecstatic with them being our first two picks. Beyond ecstatic actually.

I counter NE with picks 45, 113 and 152 for the 31st overall pick.

Then from who is still available from these 3 I pick 31st overall.

Janoris Jenkins - Folks he is the best secondary player in this draft of deep corners and "Yes" I know about his complications.

Dont'a Hightower - The enforcer, immensely talented and intimidating presence on defense. This guy chews glass like bubble gum.

Peter Konz - Who Baltimore would go after most likely. What a ridiculously dominating o-line we would have though. Yes the other 2 are worth it.

Safety once again is a ship wreck being trotted out.

But 2 blue chip, serious impact players are selected with our first 2 picks.

Good job. You added an interior offensive linemen.

DeCastro is a good football player.

Dre Kirkpatrick...

I think you should go get him. Pick 81 may be a small price to pay if you think about the CB situation behind Carr (short-term and long-term). Kirkpatrick has top 20 value, and he fits what Ryan wants to do (win at the line of scrimmage). If Kirkpatrick gets to 31, I'd jump on that trade. I'd think about it at number 27, seriously.

81 could be a WR for us, but a premium CB is tough to find. Those guys are expensive, too.

Let me get this straight -- you could have DeCastro and Kirkpatrick ... and still have a 2nd round pick? Am I following the trades correctly?

I think that is a reasonable counter offer for 31, and that would allow the Cowboys to keep 81.

Yes. He bagged the Bengals' 2nd round pick (# 53) by moving down to 17. Now, he has two of them (45 and 53).

If Kirkpatrick falls to New England at 27, he has the ammunition to nab him and the trade offers. The Packers could take him before the Patriots pick again (31), though.

Looks like you made the right move staying at 17. It seed to risky to trade down to 22...and as it turned out, it was.

I like the offer from Minny if the right players are there

Dre is not making it to 31....sorry

I'd def take the MN deal.

lots of talent at 35 and you have built a stable of picks.
top notch defenders still on the board for sure.

I woulda traded down again at 17 and took Konz or Mercilus at 22 tho
(of what's left). And then tried to trade back for the other. Only issue with your awesome haul may well be that the values in r2 and r3 will be on interior line.

I think he means that Minny would like Kirkpatrick there, but if he's gone they would trade down and let dallas have the 35th pick.

Dallas getting Kirkpatrick at 35 is out.
