GM: The most unpredictable draft in forever

The fact that there are teams at the top who are horrible and are saying "no thanks" to QB options says a lot. Weak in many positions. Honestly I like it because there will be guys taken 20-30 that are studs who dropped.

Unpredictable.

QB needy teams in the first half of the 1st round afraid to draft Anthony Richardson (needs more development, head coaches need to win now, & more immediate starting caliber plug and play players will be available for those QB needy teams in the top half/middle of the 1st round).

Richardson suddenly slides all the way to 26, does Jerry pull the trigger, and draft a QB (who was not expected to be there at 26) in the 1st round?
Think about the future.

Does it suck as in devoid of talent?

Or is it just that the top end of the class has fewer prospects that have universal buy in?

My feel is that once you get past the first wave the talent isn't that much different than previous years. Just going to be "overdrafting" some players because the top end isn't as deep as you would like.

Where is the thread that showed our 30 visits?

Removed or am I blind?

Not true.

It's just not your typical class.
I think it’s pretty bad when compared to the last few, especially at WR.

Doesn’t mean we can’t get what we need.

In fact 26 is about the right spot when you need a starting OL or TE, and it’s deep at RB.

Bad class, Cowboys can still fill needs if they play it right.

I feel like they say this every. damn. year. And then we get to the top 4-5 picks and (9 times out of 10) they go exactly as everyone suspected the week before the draft.

Isn't this all part of a concerted effort to create mystery and drama to attract more viewers?

Tell you what, Mr Anonymous GM, if the first 10 picks are players that are consensus-rated to be 4th rounders or below ..... your hyperbolic prediction will be true - most unpredictable draft in forever.

Great reason to trade back and get as many picks in the top 100 as possible or get something big for next year

It is a weak draft with not much intrigue to it.

However, if a GM and his scouting department has spotted what they think are winners, best draft to trade up in in a long time. Some might not even get up to the draft chart values.

Same thing here. The top 15 or 20 players are pretty weak. It's not bad after that.

TE class is the best in recent memory. RB is also good this year. I also like IOL and CB.

The rest is weak

Largely because this draft class sucks.
Yep. The really only "can't miss/certified blue chipper" guy at their position this year I think is Bijan who is a RB lol. Even all the QBs and Will Anderson and the OTs and Jalen Carter have things here or there you can poke holes in. Honestly feel like it's been a while since we've had a class with so few elite prospects coming in

Lol if all the GMS know that this draft class is weak who the heck is going to trade with you for more picks?

Yeah it does seem it'll be a strong 2nd and 3rd round this year. Good depth this year at least
