Don't hate.

1) Reshad Jones. FS/Georgia. 6-2 ~215, loves to hit and can cover. I think Thomas will be off the board here and this will be too good to pass up.

2) Jason Fox. OT/ Miami. Needed, nuff said.

3) Micah Johnson. ILB/Kentucky. Raw but lots of potential here. Takes a great line to the ball carrier. Him with jwill would be very good prospects here to eventually replace brooking/james.

4) Corey Peters. DE/Kentucky. Don't know if he'll drop here. He'd be a mean 1-2nd down DE opposite Igor.

5) Alterraun Verner. CB/UCLA. Very underrated CB imo. He'd be a steal here.

Only done the first 5 rounds. I could see us going CB as early as 3 if there's value there. I think Newman will start another year so CB will not be seen as big a priority, there's some talent in later rounds. Alterraun is a very smart player, I could also see us picking up Walter Thurmond or Stephan Virgil.

This mock is just my opinion. So flame on.

Really like the Fox and Verner picks.

Not a Reshad Jones fan at all. I'm also not big on Micah Johnson although he looks (physically) like a beast.

Not familiar with Peters.

also, as of now, we don't have a 5th round pick.

We got any Kentucky guys on here

get some info on

Micah Johnson. ILB/Kentucky at 6-2 #258

I saw a couple of his games

he looks slower than Bradie

Coming off foot/knee injuries

He has decent speed -- around 4.7 in the 40-yard dash -- but he still needs to improve in that area if he wants to be a star at the next level. Johnson is a huge hitter, especially when he gets a full head of steam behind him, but he struggles just a bit at changing direction so he sometimes has trouble against smaller, shiftier running backs. He is not, however, going to get overpowered. Injuries are a minor concern for Johnson, who was sidelined for one full game and part of another in 2008. He was dealing with an MCL midway through his senior season, so it remained to be seen how he finished out the season. Right now Johnson looks to be off the board early on Day 2 of the 2010 NFL Draft. However, his athleticism should provide for a stellar performance at the combine, so moving up is a very real possibility.
