News: GM's Predict Cowboys Pick At No. 10: NFL Draft Tracker

I don't get that reach deal... If you like a player that is rated by some to be the 15th player in the draft I'd take him at 10.. Why does it matter? You not going to get him in the second.. if that's the player that best fits your system go get him

I agree, if that's the guy you like better. That's my only point, they'd have to have him higher on their board, or expect Surtain to be gone by 10.

I guess being a Clemson Alum I don't get the infatuation with Horne we torched his arse every year we played them he didn't get it last year because our conference didn't play theirs. I haven't seen a single team light up Surtain even Clemson but I have seen Tee Higgins, Rodgers, Ross absolutely obliterate Horne on several occasions. I get the measurables but he does a ton of grabbing and gets turned around when he's overly aggressive he looked better last year I just think Surtain has faced better with better results.

See Dan Quinn Will Muschamp connection.
Flip side of that is, Muschamp may be telling Quinn to stay the heck away. We had Garrett and he has a connection to Saban, yet I don't recall any high profile Alabama players we drafted while Garrett was the coach.

We never had a chance to draft Bama’s D players at top of draft and some of them weren’t a scheme fit. We also never had a chance to draft their top end O players. We know Garrett talked to Saban about McClain.

Yeah I’m sure Muschamp hates Horn.

FIsh was saying the they text all the time and Diggs told him the Cowboys love him.
Good. Hopefully they take that into consideration and let be like PS2s father was with Surtain/Madison

“For as much as I loved Surtain’s high floor, I wasn’t sold on his ceiling being very high. Without above average speed and athleticism, the potential is capped for an NFL cornerback (yeah, sit down Richard Sherman, you’re the exception to the rule). If I’m picking in the top-10 of the draft, I’m looking for someone who mightbe an All-Pro, not someone who’s just guaranteed to be a starter.

Then the Pro Day happened…”

The question is whether those metrics translate into on-the-field play. Looks like Horn might be the best option over Surtain at 10.

I would say that they're certainly a factor, but unlike some others, I don't think that they're the only factor.
