If the Titans win out, they get the 2nd wild card spot along with Jacksonville. That would mean that Cleveland's pick will at the highest (or lowest, however you wan to look at it) be #19. If Cleveland makes it into the playoffs it could get as high as 26-28.

Titans are beating the Jets right now and play the Colts next week. Tony Dungy has already said he'll be resting his starters.

what happens if Tennessee happens to lose either tonight, or next week, and Cleveland wins next week? does Cleveland get the final wild-card spot?

basically, does Tennessee have to win out to get it?

If Tenn wins next week they are in. If Tenn loses next week they are out - regardless of what cleveland does.

But will the Colts rest players? They have won the AFC South, and have a 1st round bye. They will not be able to beat the Patriots for home field advantage... so, they have no skin in the game. If I were Dungy, I would be sitting Manning, Addai, and every player where I have a back-up. Colts have nothing to gain in next weeks game.

maybe that will give Cleveland less motivation, and make them more likely to finish 9-7, making our pick higher

Browns should rest all their starters for the playoffs... because it really doesn't matter if they win or lose next week, it all depends on the Titans.

Vince Young is probably the most worthless QB in the NFL. Even with the Colts resting starters the Titans probably wont score enough to win.

Based upon what exactly? No one here can name a Titan receiver yet Youngs team is in playoff contention two years running and they have a mighty good chance to make it. Please tell me your still bitter from the USC loss or your Merril Hoge or I'll be forced to believe that your "assessment" has nothing to do with on field results seeing as he wins more than he loses in his 2nd year in the league

They had a segment today during the Titans/Texans game about them resting their starters next week. Tony Dungy said he would rest them regardless of who it helped.

So they'll be playing the Jim Sorgi led Colts. It should be interesting to watch.

Dude. Hoge won. He's been vindicated. Young sucks.
