I got into a debate at work about the best QB to ever suit up. The different era's came into play but no one could come to an agreement and everyone had a different reason as to who was/is.

I know, I know....this has been beat to death but I want to get a majority vote. I ask because, what if Tom wins again along with the game's MVP. Is that enough to propel him over Montana(who I think is the best)?

Names like Farve, Marino, Elway, Bradshaw and Troy rarely came up, it was always the above five.

If you selected "other", please say who and why. There are no right and wrong answers because everyone has a differing opinion.

Right now, Montana. 2 weeks from now, I might have another answer.

I will add one caveat: I wish I had seen the greatness that was Johnny U. I cannot give an informed opinion about how great he was when I've never seen anything but stat pages and highlight reels. But man, my uninformed opinion is that he may just trump them all.

I know most are going to throw in team accomplishments like championships and such, and that's fine to each their own, but just off the question of best QB I've ever had the honor of watching it's Peyton Manning.

If Brady wins it again in 12 days I'll have a hard time arguing against it.

Joe Cool. It's not even close.

No, not Brady.

Oh, and the other GOAT "meaning" QB is...
Peyton Manning.

Top 3, and taking EVERYTHING into consideration:

Joe Montana
Tony Romo
Tom Brady

all 3 were thought to be nothings, never were expected to be great and typically played 2nd or 3rd fiddle on the depth chart. None sat behind amazing QB's to learn from (ala Rodgers behind Favre) and yet all put in the hard work and dedication to set multiple records and become the faces of major franchises.

Maybe sitting behind Drew Bledsoe is the secret.

Anyone who reads about Roger Staubach and come saying GOAT QB is not Roger Staubach is missing something in my opinion….

The guy started his pro career at 27 and went to the SB 5 times…….give him 4-5 years back and see what he would have done

GOAT QB is Roger Staubach

I like what you say but my own personal opinion when having these discussions is you have to look at what a guy actually did instead of what he could have done. It's tough enough to argue who is the best when we all agree on the stats and facts; throwing in a layer of uncertainty where we have to speculate makes it impossible.
