Sanchez is a good guy, but not a QB I would put my faith in. I'm glad we have Romo to back up Dak. Sanchez has some skills, but he's a turnover machine. Next year when we probably won't have Romo, I think we should get another backup.

I thought it was a good signing back when we got him based on his past success in the playoffs. He appears to have lost a step. Maybe he's like Cassel who had some success in New England but wasn't as good anymore.

He was always awful carried by a truly exceptional Jets defense at the time.

To be fair, name a team that wouldn't feel the same way if they had to go to their 3rd string QB. I don't like Sanchez at all but there was not much better out there when we had to go sign him. If my choices are Sanchez or Moore as a back up next year, I will take Moore every day. Hopefully, we can get someone better than both of them for next year.

With the slim pickings we had he's had more success in his career than anyone else that was available. A couple of years ago on Thanksgiving he played a very good game against one of our best teams leading Philly to a blowout win. Sanchez has gotten worse over the years his confidence is shot because he's seen as a joke. He's best known for a butt fumble.

Might want to think hard before going the Cassel/Sanchez route at back-up QB again, unless you want to kiss your season good by if the starter misses more than a few games. Either get a young guy who can play or a proven veteran like, oh I don't know who....

I compare him to other backups around the league. Most stink. Those that don't make big salaries (E.g. Chase Daniel makes 7 mill a year. Josh McCown makes nearly 5 mil and he's 37).

Just not a ton of options.

No team is winning a SB with a 3rd string QB being put in during the playoffs. So Sanchez wont matter.

Any team trotting out their 3rd string QB is in for a pleasant surprise. Just as the Ray-duhz !

But I'd like to go ahead and draft another young QB in the 4th round whom we can groom to be a backup. I'm not sold on Moore as a serviceable player.
