To have football, and mroe specifically our Cowboys, back.

there's a circle-jerk of "I'm right-you're wrong" going on right now, and something gets lost in translation.

And that is, our defense looks dominating, Glymph is god, Crayton looked good, we apparently have a decent backup QB, and we stopped one of the best teams in the league all night long, holding them to three points.

That, my friends, deserves another round!:beer1:

It wasn't a perfect performance, but overall a good showing. Romo QB rating of 117.9 is the most impressive thing I saw.

How about 6 sacks? That was pretty darn impressive. Dominating TOP. That's Purcells football, baby.

I am still in complete shock with Romo's performance tonight. I mean, how many here really thought that he was going to play this well in what was truly his first preseason game? Even his biggest supporters had to be pleasantly surprised after tonight.

Glymph is a big boy at Six foot six with 272 pounds...

We got us some backers folks! Big ol' meateaters!!

Let's not forget to mention that T.O. wasn't playing either and Glenn played very little.

I'd really like to see what Romo can do when he has all the weapons at his disposal.

He was great, wasn't he? I do not feel nearly as worried about Bledsoe going down. One more thing to rest easy about. Those things are adding up. :)

While I share your enthusiasm for th night's performancce, I wouldn'tbook tickets to Miami just yet.

The D looks to be coming along quite nicely, but keep in mind that this is pre-season. I highly doubt that the Hawks did much game planning for our defense (or offense for that matter),and their defense was without 3 or 4 starters (i can't remember which). It was nice to have no sacks allowed against a bunch of 2nd stringers, but I'm not ready to annoint the O-line or Romo as mid-season form players.

The D looked pretty good, but Hasselback and Alexander were in the game just long enough to put their cleats in the grassand that's about it. The running game didn't look too impressive (especially Jones and Barbers numbers) and Romo seems to have contracted Bledsoe syndrome, fumbling two snaps.

Tonight's win was encouraging and it's good to see the defense have such a dominating performance, but I'm not going to let the win cloud my judgement anymore than if the score and the performances were reversed and we lost the game. It's pre-season. I'll temper my excitement to a level of cautiously pleased.

Consider my enthusiasm tempered. But anytime you allow three points, dominate TOP, and sack the opposing QBs 6 times, there's a little reason for excitement.

I just gotta combat all this negative energy....

Amen Brother.

It been a long 7 months. I only got to see snippets on NFL network. All of them looked good. More than stoked here. Nice post.

I'm feelin ya, dog. We've all just been let down so many times (especially lately) after high expectations that I'm tryin to keep an even keel. But, beleive me, I'm likin' the things I'm hearing about a little too much right now. Just bracing for the let down we've all become accustomed to.

But DAMN they looked good tonight, didn't they!

WOOOOO HOOOOOO!

O.K. back to even keeled.

Bsically, it just absolutely rocks to have just seen the two drives the ****** NFL network decided to grace us with while they weren't orally fellating Favre or waxing poetic about reggie or showing us pathetic Vince Young.

That was an exciting 15 minutes of television - and I only had to sit through three hours of repetitive garbage to get it.

Even more impressive in the biggest game of his professional career on the road in one of the most rowdy environments in professional football. Seattle has the best home record of any team in the NFL the last 5 years.
